Yes, a new magic shave question...

Hi Folks,

this sounds like the answer I've been looking for, but the BIG question is, does anyone know if you can get it in the UK, and if so where about, as I'm kind of a long way from anywhere metropoloitan. All help gratefully received.:D

Search for posts by Golden. He found a source in the UK a year or two ago. He isn't often around any more, but you could also try e-mailing him through his profile.

Thanks for the info. i will definitely check it out, and if we hit gold, then I'll be sure to pass it along.:cathappy:

shakey shakey shake

shake that bottle! Thank you for the tip, Weird Harold - shaken thoroughly, applied, and removed, all as things ought to be. I will remember that in the future!

Dredging up an old thread...

Just an update...I know its been a while but a lot has happened in my life since the first try (illnesses, traveling DH, spring break, etc).

Well...I've tried the Regular Magic Shave Cream twice now and have not been happy with the results either time. I must have some very stubborn hair! *sigh* So, guess I'll pick up the powder and try that next.

Keep your fingers crossed for me...

Thanks!

Here ya go.

Order magic shave via the net

Also, I have found that using a loofa sponge to remove the cream and hair in the shower helps a lot. It gets rid of any hair that is sticking around.

Wow...I feel like breaking into song...

"Her name was Lola...she was a showgirl..."

or maybe

"...she said Lola, L-O-L-A Lola..."

An update: not pleased with my results so far. Going to try for a second application, a bit thicker and leave it on a bit longer. My hair had already been trimmed very short before the first application. If it doesn't work the second time, we'll try the powder instead.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice!

*humming and hoping*

I have yet to find anything that works for me, and I haven't heard of this product. I have very fair skin, and always break out, or end up sore or very dry. And I can't stand the left over stubbles. Grr, someone tell me where to find some good stuff! I'm sick of razers!

Did you ever find it? If not, PM me - I have a supplier in London

Okay. I think this time I might actually get the guts to buy it at the base exchange.

Just something about buying it at a military base makes me blush.

sorrryyyyy I'm a newbie...What is this "magic shave" and where can it be obtained?

Magic Shave is a depillatory designed for black men who have problems shaving their beards (it's a common occurance, from my understanding, due to the coarse- and curly-ness of their hair). It can be found at most stores in the ethic hair or general shaving cream section (I've found it at walmart, rite-aid, walgreens, AAFES, etc).

Some folks have burn issues, but I never have and highly recommend it :)
