I don't really see the big deal about alt. id's. I understand the arguments for and against it, but I tend to take most things that happen here with a grain of salt. I might feel differently if I hadn't known people that only used one i.d. but were lying through their teeth about who they really were. The assumption from people that prefer everyone only use one i.d. is that the user is honest and consistent in their persona. I think this is very presumptuous and leaves one wide open to the hurt they've got coming when the truth is discovered.

I don't like to be lied to any more than the next person, but I also know that the anonymity of a community like this is just too inviting for most people. I made up an alt a long time ago so that I could test drive some questions in the GB and not get my stories roasted because of any opinions I might wish to voice there. I never PM'd people to see what they'd say about my other i.d. or flirted with people that I knew, to see how they'd respond. In short, I never laid traps for people or set out to deceive those close to me. Just wanted to speak my mind in a raw and bawdy way, among people I don't trust.

I don't care much if people use alt's, but it should be noted that a fair amount of caution and care is needed to avoid hurting the friends you already have here. Deception cuts deep.

My brother told me last night that he had one of his best ever 'Full English' breakfasts last week at a small hotel in France.

He was visiting Ypres for the Remembrance events. The locals provided Full English for every Brit (and American) visiting to make them feel at home and to say 'Thank You' for the sacrifices in WWI and II.

I don't think spanking was on the menu but the maids dressed as French maids with short skirts and frilly knickers. The veterans seemed to enjoy the breakfasts and the sight of the maids.
