Hey, I know that most of you have dozens of marks on the bedposts... but you always remember your first one. And please... Go check out mine!

http://www.literotica.com/s/sex-island

I've tried to create a story that's complete in itself, while still leaving room for lots of sequels. Ahhh, I'm so unreasonably happy, it's just pathetic.

And it's also pathetic when you find yourself jerking off to your own material.

So please... let me know! Does this one float your boat? Where else do you think it could go? Please. deluge me with your comments!

Because there can always be many stories... but there can only be one first time.

Ye-HAW!

Mister Chris

Congrats! It's a good feeling.

My main interest in erotica is the complications that surround sex - the "how do I tell this person I'm interested?", the morning after, etc etc - so obviously an island where everybody has uncomplicated sex whenever they feel like it isn't my thing. But I thought it was well-written, and I expect people who like a no-strings story will enjoy it very much.

One technical nitpick:

It was worth the effort; for she was just stunning.

In this sentence, and several others like it, the semicolon should be a comma. The main role for a semicolon is to separate independent clauses (things that are grammatically structured as complete sentences in themselves). The "for" makes the second half a dependent clause, so a semicolon isn't right here.

Jagfarlane, Industrial_Bondage, sr71plt... thanks so much for the encouragement! I appreciate it.

Bramblethorn, thanks so much for your constructive input! (And by the way, what a cool Avatar - enlarged it to read the words, it's hilarious!)

I find that very few writers handle interpersonal conflicts resulting from sexual involvement well. One good example is mom/son incest. The typical approach is 'gosh mom, your tits are so big' - 'oh no, son, we shouldn't' - 'IM CUMMMMIIINNNGGGGG!' ....And, that's basically it. I get tired of reading the exact same approach in story after story; but I will confess, I'm not sure I'd do a lot better. So I congratulate you on concentrating on what I consider to be a very difficult area to write convincingly.

Re the use of semicolons - I'm probably guilty as charged. I know the vowels... but I never really did figure out the difference between a noun and a verb, and I absolutely couldn't tell you the difference between a predicate and a predicament. I do remember that Adverbs are verbs that are commonly used in advertising, but I forget which ones they are. Given my complete absence of knowledge regarding proper sentence structure, I really ought to be limited to scrawling misspelt obscenities on warehouse walls with spray paint. But, before my life blew up, I actually made a decent living as a writer. When someone tells me that I haven't written something correctly - and they do, frequently - I hide behind the quote that 'English is a language of exceptions'. I have no idea if it actually applies; I just throw it on the ground like a smoke grenade, and dash for the horizon. It usually works.

On a slightly different topic - somewhere on the literotica site I found my story rating and the number of likes, or favorites, or something. I was at 4.35, and 6 big red hearts. I have no clue what this is or whether its good or not, but the big red hearts were encouraging. I wish I could find them again. And there was a table which listed a bunch of recent submissions and their scores, but I cannot find that again, either.

Sigh.

Feel free to throw breadcrumbs in my direction. And thank you, everyone, for the feedback - it really helps!

That's your submissions page which lists all your stats. If you aren't logged into it, you'll have to log in.

Story favorites only appear at the end of the story. They aren't currently a part of this listing ( though everything else is there )

The menu on the left side of the page also can direct you to "recent activity" which will show when people have favorited you as an author, one of your stories, or left a public comment.

Don't freak out if you get a "broken heart". Some people use the favorite feature as a kind of bookmark to find stories they plan to read later, and then remove the favorite after reading.

Scores also run from 1 to 5. Anything with 10 votes with a score of 4.5 or better with get a little red H next to it, which stands for Hot.

Thanks, JagFarlane. My story seems to be settling in at 4.41, or thereabouts. So, I'll miss out on the 'hot' listing. Still, I'm serene and satisfied; it's a reasonable score for a first submission. I'm satisfied that (most) people like my stuff. So I'm planning several sequels, and another story line which will dovetail with the characters in the original story line.

RejectReality, I made the mistake of clicking on the pretty girls at the bottom of your post, which led me to your stories, which incinerated my evening. Dear Lord, your stuff is hot! Well written, great flow, great dialog, interesting situations. My dick now has blisters and calluses, and it's all your fault. Where did you get the art to illustrate the story links? And how did you achieve that?

Arghh. Normally I'd use hand lotion for chapped skin, but it was hand lotion that got me into this mess in the first place. I think I have some aerosol novocaine for sunburns. Sigh. Maybe that will work...

Congrats on the first.

By the way, wait until you come across RR's other two writing alts. :D

Later your score may go up as a sweep (The websites attempt at cleaning up fraudulent or malicious votes) or two runs on your story.

If you ever decide to dip your toes into the shark tank of Loving Wives, let me know as I have a good supply of shark proof suits for rent. ;)

LOL Glad you enjoyed them.

The covers are a mixture of things. Some images are from a website ( which I'm not sure exists any longer ) that allowed use and manipulation of the artwork for non-commercial purposes. Some bits are drawn from photos. Some bits are Photoshop-manipulated images ( mostly backgrounds, but a few other illustrative bits like the vibrator on "clone" and such )

The full size-covers are on my website, and you can find my other two pen names by linking from the "Darkniciad.Com" graphic at the bottom of each page on the site.

Thanks! Wish I could take credit, but it's from this Oglaf strip.

Yeah, I know what you mean. There are some good stories here that have that complexity to them, but they can be hard to find.
