Yay!

YAY!!! The commissary here has the cheese I need to make D's favorite dessert!!! He loooves Tiramisu, but in Hawaii it was difficult to find the Marscapone cheese and it's just not as good made with cream cheese as a substitute.

Yay! Gotta love it when you get blessings like that. I checked out the commisary when I was in SC and I was impressed, but I understand that that's not always how it works.

Oh! Did you see the links on the first page?

I wanna get the license plate thing that says 'my other ride is a soldier', but I got a 'look' from K when I suggested it.

I suppose that since he's the chaplains assistant that I gotta be good. *sigh*

Hehehe, I saw that one too. I want it, so I think when I get my car I'll get one.

Lucky. K wants to go to seminary, so I'm probably gonna end up always having to be good.

I dont' think Ic an do it. K will make a great pastor. Me, a pastors wife? Not so sure about that. I'm not tactful enough. K says that I'll be fine, but I think he's deluded.

hehehe, I'm less than tactful and I get days where I have negative tact. I'd die if I had to "be good" all the time.

Well K says that if this is God's will that God will also find a church that likes me as I am.

I figure we're going to have a church for homeless people. Either that or sailors. At least none of them care if (when?) I cuss.

It's not that I don't feel like I have a lot to contribute, I just don't see myself as a pastors wife. I'm more of a 'in the background' kind of person. You know, the person no one notices doing anything.

:nana:
Yesterday we finally hung up some pictures (after living in this app. for 1 1/2 years  ), and we got a second cupboard for clothing, so no more stuff lying around, because the one we had was bursting as it was.

:nana: :nana: :nana:

:nana:
I finally got my PM box full! :nana:
(It's sort of empty again, but still: :nana: )

I got to babysit my cousin's baby today. :nana: I've been wanting to get my fingers on that little sweetie since he was born. Today K and N(my cousins) wanted to go to the state fair, so I agreed to watch their son. Heck, agreed my foot. K called me yesterday and said 'if i give you $25 would you be willing to watch C?' I laughed and said I'd watch him for free. She still paid me, which was nice, but I had a great time with him, and the kids did too. :nana:

my turn for some yay news

i just bought a new vibrator (jelly egg) with permission from Sir, it has a remote and a two foot wire attached so Sir can have some fun with it when i go visit.

im going to visit Sir in 21 days

tonight i was promised some playtime, and i finally get to cum after being denied all week due to a stupid mistake of mine.

so yeah. yay.

My credit card from my bank in New Zealand is due to expire. They will not send a new one unless it's to a bank or a place of employment (not including schools, motels/hotels, hospitals etc). I don't work outside the home and when I went to my bank they told me they don't take responsibility for credit cards couriered to them (what the hell is a bank for then   ).

So I went to the office of the lawyer who I dealt with at the time I was getting my divorce finalised (over 2 years ago now). They said they would be happy to sign for it for me, which they did when it arrived today. When I went to pick it up and asked how much they were going to charge me, the receptionist said "No charge".

Now I'm very surprised and pleased, because it's not often that a firm will do something like that without charge. Kudos to them! :)

Yay! *hugs*

I get my remicaid today. They're doubling my dose, so hopefully I'll start feeling better.

Yay!

Yay #1: My car got scratched, yeah, someone backed out and scraped it, but one of the teachers saw it and wrote down the license number, so I filled out a police report and that person will be charged with leaving a scene of an accident! I once sat in my car for at least 10 minutes to fess up to someone whose bumper
I messed up, so I consider this karma, or "what goes around comes around."

Yay #2: I wasn't sure if I would have to pay the $500 deductible if they didn't find the person, but I found out that in cases like this (car in parking lot, no one in it, witness to scraping, police/collision report filed) they WAIVE the deductible! So my car will be restored to its shiny newness for FREE! (to me). And premiums never go up for this because they say it's not my fault someone hit my car when I wasn't in it. Naturally if they find the person their insurance will pay the deductible or whatever. I don't know.

And the claims centre has everything all set up so that when I go to drop off my car the rental car is all ready and I just have to sign the contract. Last time I had to have all this discussion about did I want their insurance and shit, which I didn't need. I love State Farm.

Yay!

Well it's official - I have now completed all the things I need to and am not a probationary teacher any more, barring the time for the paperwork to go through.
My principal was VERY thorough so I have all sorts of areas I have to focus on - "areas of growth" - but I got a satisfactory rating. That's what matters.
I'd be happy, but I'm too busy.

So where are the pics?

Still fiddling with the phone and switching phone numbers over. *sigh*

As for pics of me, they still will be few and far between. I'm not very photogenic, and I won't keep pictures of me I hate.

Perhaps you should let us decide if you're photogenic or not. I think most of the people here - if not all - learned long ago that it's the contents of the package that count, not the wrapper... and the contents of your wrapper are gloriously beautiful.

Oh, how sweet. lol Ok, here's a picture my daughter just took.
