Yay....i just taught my first university class tonight...a three hour lecture...and i was applauded at the end!

Thats great DVS and Brioche are right, applause isn't easy to get from uni students.

I was actually talking about lectures. They are very apathy inducing, so if they applauded him he undoubtedly deserved it.

I think that people would give me anything I wanted to put my clothes back on...

Me, too. But, I'm mostly horny. It's difficult to be happy when you're horny. It's kind of a one track mind thing...you know...all of the blood rushes south and all.

for the record, i was fully clothed....(after all, it is forty below outside.)

It is an intro bible course. Most students are taking it to fulfill a humanities requirement. Last nights lecture was on the background of the bible, and i started on genesis. most of the students are bio or physics majors...it was the first time any of them had heard anything about the first few chapters of genesis that did not make them want to run.

The family and I went to Borders Books tonight and I found a copy of 'Return to the Chateau' (last one in the store).

So I'm very happy though tired.
I found out that this contract I am on is a probationary teaching contract. That means that I will have a job from now on, I just don't know what. It might/probably will change in September, but I will have SOMETHING other than supply work. No more going from mat leave to mat leave.
Also, since the hematologist couldn't help me with the anemia, I am only going to have to have three periods a year from now on! It's done with birth control pills. It could have been none, but I thought I should have some.

I have one or two trial exams each week. And they are pretty hard, and happen on friday afternoon and saturday morning, so I really really don't want to do them. But both yesterday and today I went and stayed and filled many pages, and the one I took today seemed to be something I know

So, I resurrected my Yay thread because I had another Yay to post and it was kind of related to what I started this thread about....
Today I went and bought clothes.
The special part is...
This is the first time in over a DECADE I have been able to buy an outfit in a store that isn't plus size.
Not only that, but when I tried on the largest size of jeans they were big and I ended up going down one!
When they talked about setting goals that didn't have to do with numbers as well one of my big ones was not having to shop in plus size stores.
Now I don't have to, and although I can't buy button-up the front shirts yet, (cause of the boobies, they shrink slowly) it's close, and I can buy the other ones.
