I know it is not such a big milestone for some of you, but 50 is half a hundred. It was also a milestone in that it helped boost me over the 200 follower mark.
I decided to do it in a big way and toss some chum out for the sharks in "Loving Wives". Based on the comments here and in a couple of other forums, they seem like a pretty rabid group. They did not disappoint.
In just a few days the story racked up more views than any of my other stories, some of which are over a year old. 39.4K views versus the previous champion at 28.9K. Most hover around the 4 - 5K range.
It also garnered 29 comments versus the previous high of 7. Quite a few of them were very amusing. I guess I should be flattered that so many readers were invested enough to be outraged at what happened to some fictional people.
It was also favorited 35 times besting the previous winner at 27 times (that one was actually on the Sci-Fi top 200 for a while. It might still be, I haven't looked lately).
It also came in with a whopping 3.71 stars, which everyone knows has to be multiplied by 2 to match the rankings in any other category.
So, overall, for a milestone story I think it turned out pretty good. Am I likely to toss more into the Loving Wives category? I'll have to think about it.
