Yahoo vs Aim...

does anyone have some thoughts about the relative cam merits of yahoo vs aim? seems like Aim (at least for a mac user) has a much better quality (which is important for us visual learners).....

Plus... i think i can do audio on Aim (not on Yahoo for Mac), which is a bonus for some....

I haven't used AIM in ages but I will say Yahoo is absolutely shit for webcams. It's the slowest program out there, and I don't think supercam even works anymore.

The Newest Version of Yahoo has a new "video call" feature that works flawlessly and without any lag whatsoever....day and night comparison to it's old webcam function.

well i havent tried this new feature on yahoo, but i know the old yahoo webcam was so horrible you would get feedback every second if you are lucky and it lagged.

aim has always given me problems connecting. usually one of our webcams doesn't show up.

so i prefer skype. its free as well and you can type if you feel like it and ive never had problems there

Tried apple's ichat (signed into Aim)... great video quality, but not many users I'm guessing...

I just wanted to bump this and say Yahoo Video Call is fucking awesome! Thank you to the person who mentioned that new feature, otherwise I would have never upgraded my YM client. I just had the best cam session ever, and this time it was with a real girl! She had vagina and everything. No lag AT ALL! OMG! It feels like I found the holy grail! Seriously, I've been trying so hard to find girls who cam and have had 0 success until now. It's like I just lost my virginity again, but better this time.
