Yahoo!'s gone pink!!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Now how do you feel about it?

"Yahoo! today became the first and largest online global monument to "Go Pink" in support of the Global Landmarks Illumination Initiative. As a significant and recognized world monument, Yahoo! is honored to join with The Estée Lauder Companies and the world's most prominent physical landmarks, to encourage people to think pink and raise awareness and funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Breast Cancer is the most common form of cancer found in women today. This year, 192,000 new cases will be diagnosed in the United States. Someone you know may be affected. We cannot rest until we win the battle against Breast Cancer."

I see the little ribbon there now. There's so much stuff jammed on their page, I never really pay most of it any mind. It certainly is an eye catcher. I am more aware now.

It does grab your attention, doesn't it? At first I thought a teenage girl had hacked their site or somethin. I guess they picked pink because its a feminine color. Just a guess.

Or maybe, it could be because PINK RIBBONS are worn for breast cancer awareness

Like there are AIDS Ribbons, etc.....the Post Office even sold pink ribbon stamps (at .40 each) to raise money for Breast Cancer research.......

.....grabs crow bar....lifts large rock, letting Young Knave and Pure_Lust crawl out... :D

pink because it stands out ... pink because people will talk about it like you all are now

thats what its all about awareness

I apologize for not keeping up on all the latest ribbon campaigns out there. There are so many these days, for just about every cause imaginable.

Actually, the "Pink Ribbon" campaign has been around since AT LEAST 1993. Probably the only older ribbon campaign is the red "AIDS awareness" ribbon one.
