Yahoo Messenger Tech Help

I have yahoo messenger installed on my iPhone 5s. Everyone one of my contacts gives the ability to sms, audio and video cam except for one. Which is the one contact I really want to try it with. I can sms and audio but the camera is off. Any ideas? I can't figure out why and have been googling to no avail. Any ideas????

Probably a limitation of your friend's computer/messenger - maybe they have it turned off intentionally. Maybe they are happy not to have video chat requests popping up.

Just because you use Yahoo messenger on an iPhone does not mean your friend is using the same messenger client software. There are other ways to communicate via Yahoo other than using their messenger. Some of these programs don't have video facilities - pidgin http://pidgin.im/ is one example.

Knowing yahoo pretty well, it is likely that either their software doesn't support video, or they have that option turned off, Yahoo tends with contacts to reflect the status of the other side with a lot of things, when you load a contact at sign on all kinds of attributes from his end are visible to your app.
