I upgraded to v5.5 and now it won't let me sign in.

Hmph.

Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem?

Just suck my ass and you won't need yahoo to suck ass.

Oh, don't say that!

My crappy dialup and I just spent the last half hour upgrading!

Why don't we just do some chocolate finger painting instead?

(Have I mentioned today how grossed out I am by that title of yours hovering above your ass?)

:p

switch to msn

Then I can talk to ya! Just my 2 cents:)

I have fits with yahoo messenger too. Just try uninstalling and reinstalling the one's you have downloaded already. You shouldn't have to redo the download.

Sorry. There is a link around here too about yahoo but can't use the search function. :rose:

Dammit. Now even MSN hates me!

*sigh*

At least crappy ol' AIM stays by my side.

You are highly underestimating the number of ways I use to contact people.

I guess so. I only use one messenger service. I know there are lots of people who use AOL, Yahoo, and others. I guess I am just slow to add more than one. I can't handle more than one conversation at a time, much less multiple converstions over multiple messenger services. I'm just not a multi-tasker.

beloved? If the extraneous features aren't that important to you, what about dl'ing Trillian?

Sign out of Yahoo completely and close your browser windows and anything with a Yahoo cookie. Then sign in on Messenger with the main profile name, not a secondary name and that should fix your problem...then you can switch to a secondary profile if you use that to chat with...I think it has to do with the way the cookies are on Yahoo...I had the same problem.

I'm a fast typer.

It's not the typing. It's the getting lost in one conversation and ignoring the other people. Or the sending an answer to one that was meant for another. It just doesn't work for me. Glad it does you though.

I have a feeling it was more Yahoo's server than the IM service itself, as I've had no problems for a while now.

MSN has been playing up royally lately for those wondering.

AIM too has a tendancy not to sign in at all.

However with the fact I have like 50 friends in total on different services (including 2 chat rooms I frequent on mIRC, XTS & Reallifecomics) I have to be able to multitask, considering I visit here, surf other sites and have like 5 chats going on all at once :D.

Good job, Lord David. Multitasking is a good thing.

(Checkin' out that link, Debs - thank you!!)

Thanks rose hun

I still have trouble multitasking when I have like 10 people messaging me at once, but normally I'm okay (and of course when it's time for webcam fun, I just shut down MSN & AIM anyways ;))
