I'm much the same, but I must admit a slight preference for boxers. I like a bit of looseness in the undie department. Much easier to slip my hand in. And, for slipping "it" out for a closer inspection.

For me, commando only works with certain overthings. 501's are most definately one of them. The button fly is Very important. Go rent There's Something About Mary. At work, under a suit, no.

Under many, even most, things I wear boxers. Good ones. Some men do get the bit about not buying cheap underwear and why.

I wear tighter jockey shorts for sports.

Oh, I also do own a kilt, however I normally wear boxers under it. They are unusual enough in SoCal that children and friends with questionable senses of humour will try to answer the old question in a non-verbal manner, as I have learned.
