I have always wondered how people make these images. From a story point of view, I think goblins and gnomes are also interesting. Size is kinda important

I am not sure how Monika produces her images. My process involves preliminary drawings, a photo which is then heavily edited for a more 'painterly' look and the the painting begins. I use a tablet and a sophisticated fine arts program to paint and manipulate the image into a final state illustration.
