Lisarianne

She listened for a while to the others speak, at least it no longer looked like they would run off with Willy and Nilly. She really thought the dicussion had more to do at the moment with someone feeling a Leftout or a Misunderstood. There where also a lot of references to someone she should know and didn't. Let them get it out of their systems, she decided and sat down to wait it out.

Pouring herself a drink, she noticed the man with the sword sitting at the table also. She shrugged and poured him a drink too. "Thirsty?" she asked, handing him the goblet. "Listen, I'm sorry if we got off on the wrong foot. Confusion seems to be the theme of the day," she said with a chuckle.

*he finally had enough* Listen everyone!*he said exasperated * We Dont Need Adult Ignorance and Pompusness! What we need is a Plan On how to Get there and Get Me Into That Damn Game, Or we'll Never save those Kids!

Cristian looked at Lisarianne and smiled again, "It seems that all we have is a lot of confusion. I should have introduced myself properly."
He looked at her and said, "My name is Cristian Cofaldeon. I am at the moment a rogue knight looking for an adventure but all I seem to be doing is sitting down, eating biscuits, drinking wine, listening to people arguing but my only high point is that I get to talk to a woman such as yourself."
That last comment brought a smile to the young woman's face as she looked at Cristian. She looked at the knight and said, "Before you get the wrong idea you can not be charming and expect me to fall for you."
"Me. I wouldn't think of it. All I want to do is talk to someone without them shouting at me and for that I thank you, this is what a pleasant conversation should be."
"Exactly," Lisarianne said.
Cristian sat back at the table and watched as Ether walked out of the room.

Lisarianne

OCC: uh-uh-uh, mister, Lisarianne likes to talk for herself. Maybe she wanted him to charm her off her feet.

IC: Lisarianne looked over at the blue man. Honestly, if he called them rookies one more time, she was going to grab the poke-her player and Cristian and leave his grumpy ass behind. Rolling her eyes at his latest tirade, she leaned closer to Cristian, "You're right, there haven't been many high points. Until now, that is," she said with a small smile. "Excuse me a moment."

Standing, she cleared her throat. When that got no attention, she shifted slighty and roared like a lion. Everyone jumped and stared at her. "I'm sorry about that," she said, winking at Cristian. "I doubt it is necessary for all of us the deal directly with the card game. Perhaps some of us should go to the children and see if there is some other way to retrieve their souls. In case the cards we are dealt are not the ones we want, we should have a backed-up plan."

 

[Angelus]

Cristian

OOC: sorry about that, I just thought that seeming as Lisarianne doesn't know Cristian that well he shouldn't push things.

IC: Cristian looked at Lisarianne with a smile and thought At last, someone has a plan, and all it took was the roar of a lion or should I say lioness he laughed slightly with that thought but sat back as Lisarianne went through her plan. He watched to see what Bismuth was doing and was surprised slightly to see him standing there, listening intently with a smile on his face. As he listened his hand went slowly to the hilt of his sword which began to sing softly in his hand as if sensing his thoughts.

Glory

OCC: Angelius, n/p, it's all good!

IC: Glory just stared at Robert, the way he wiggled his moustache was too funny. She wondered if it tickled when he, um, you know, kissed. She was about to ask him when she heard a lion roar. Scared out of her wits, she jumped right into Robert's arms. Frantically looking around, she saw it was only the lady in purple; she had something to say about trying another way to free the children. Glory was so wrapped up in listening; she didn't even try to get down from Robert's arms.

 

[Angelus]

Cristian watched as everybody listened to Lisarianne but noticed that one person was not there, Ether. He slowly got up out off his seat, trying not to make any noise {extremely hard when you are wearing armor- lol) and walked away from where Lisarianne stood explaining what her plan was. He then walked quietly away from the table and out of the room to see where the blue skinned man, Ether was. When he saw him the first thing that he noticed was that the air around him was almost freezing. He stood there and cleared his throat which made Ether turn to look at him.
"Um, Ether. Lisarianne has a plan that I think we should all listen to."
"It won't work," was all that Ether said.
"But, shouldn't you-"
"No, now go back there."
Cristian said nothing, he just walked back into the room, saw that Lisarianne was still standing up, looked at her and smiled which she returned.

 

[Ravenloft]

Robert:

Robert held Gory in his arms. He hadn't expected her to jump into them like that but he definately wasn't complaining about it eather. Some how everything every one had said in the last several minutes seemed to slip his mind, even the horrendous roar.

 

[Angelus]

Cristian sat back down and listened to Lisarianne and thought I don't plan anything. I know that, all I do is follow orders and if that doesn't work I improvise
He then got to his feet and said, "Sorry to interrupt but I have something to add. I think that we should split up into two groups. One of us should see if we can do something to help the kids and one should see what we can find out about this plan. It seems the most logical way to me, a lot better than running head first into something we have no idea of what we are getting ourselves into."
Everyone seemed to nod when Cristian said that, including Bismuth.
"If I may interrupt. You're plan sounds good but I do have to point out one thing."
Cristian looked at the wizard with a suspicious look and said, "And what is that?"

"as I see it we have several ways to go,

1. We need to see about protecting children while stupified, and see if there is way to revive them.

2. We need to figure out how ComPewter is doing this, unfortunately someone will have to venture to his cave to do so, as ComPewter can only control one person at a time I suggest that two people, with strong wills go.

3. See if The Good Magician can provide us with way to destun the children.

4. Visit ComPassion and see if she can help us.

There are plenty of us to go each way, anyone have a preference?"



OOC ambrosious asked me to led the thread, and I will take role of good magician and ComPewter and ComPassion as necessary.

*Roland stepped forward* I'll Show that Bucket of Bolts! I'm heading for that Pewter, And I'll show it What For! *he says grinningly* not sure how i'll finally stop it, But I'll figure somthing out when I Get there, and If i Cant, I'll Improvise! Who's gonna come with me? *he says, taking charge of this end of the mission*

"I've got a pretty strong will and I would love to go and show ComPewter that stupifying kids is a really stupid thing to do."
He then sat down and looked at the rest of the group, trying to think of what he was going to do; go into a fight against ComPewter or try and help the kids.

Lisarianne

Lisarianne stepped forward and laid her hand on Cristian's shoulder. "I too wish to search for ComPewter, I believe my abilities will be of more use in that capacity. She smiled at the poke-her player and Cristian, "I know together, we can beat this bucket of bolts."

Glory

Glory chewed her lip some more and turned and looked Robert in the eyes. She jumped a bit when they were so close, but she realized she was still in his arms having jumped there earlier. "I'm pretty sure I'm useless, but I want to help those kids. I mean the only thing I can do is maybe talk to their pets, cats anyway, maybe one of them knows something. Will you come with me, please?"

 

[Angelus]

As soon as he felt Lisarianne's hand on his shoulder he instantly knew what to do, "Let's go and kick that bucket of bolts all over the land. I have a score to settle with him and besides we might meet some minions on the way."
A cold smile came to his face and everyone that saw it knew exactly what it meant.
"So, when do we leave?"

 

[Roland Gilliad]

*Roland Grins, Slamming his fist down on a spoon it flips into the air, landing deftly in his pocket* Right Now, We need to get off As soon as Possible, The Rest of you, Go on witchever paths you want, But be warned, If The pewters behind this, Expect EVERYTHING. *He says finally, motinoning for them to follow* Comon, Lets Ride.

"well it looks like Robert and Glory will protect the kids"

Bismuth flicks screen and shows them where the group of children are. His scratchy voice says, "Be careful, and try to find out how, he is stunning children. I don't want you to get stunned in process, look for any way to keep yourself from getting stunned."

Sandy, "You know if others in area aren't being stunned maybe they know of what's going on." She smiled and handed a pecan sandy to Glory (pecan sandy is type of cookie)

Bismuth rambles on about dangers of ComPewter, "He will have control of one of you at time, so one should try keep the one being controlled from acting while third finds out how ComPewter is up to."

Sandy, "Good luck Rolland, Christian and Lisarianne. Here's a sand box, if all else fails mess up his circuitry."

She looks around at rest wondering whether she will end up going to Good Magician's castle alone or if visiting ComPassion might be wiser. She glances at Tainted and rest waiting for them to choose between last two options.

Lisarianne

"Whoa, hotshots, do either one of you know where ComPewter is?" I asked, heading for the door. As much as I wanted to stay and prepare a little, I knew these two would not wait long. "Excuse me, but ride?? All three of us came in on foot, ok, I flew in. Stand back a moment please," I directed. Concentrating, I made a small motion with my hand and three ladybugs became horses. "Treat them well, or you will be walking."

"everyone knows where Com Pewter's cave is and that it is to be avoided, here's a map for Lisarianne so you don't get left behind. Good Luck"

 

[Roland Gilliad]

*Roland whistles* Wish I could Do That...of course, I prefer Cards over Animals anyday....*He grins* I'll name ya WildCard..*he grins a little And pats him slowly, petting him gently* I Dont know where it is...But Im Sure we'll figure somthing out...Right? *he says, a hopefull look on his face*

 

[Angelus]

Cristian walked over to his horse and said, "And I shall name you Storm for that is what we will ride as."
He gently scratched his horse behind the ear which made him move his head and knock it into Cristian's. Cristian smiled We are going to be good friends. He looked at Lisarianne and said, "Okay, where to. I am itching to ride away from here. No offence Bismuth but all this sitting around and doing nothing has gotten me a little bit twitchy."

 

[RoseThorn]

Rose

Rose looked at her companions, glad to see things finally working into place. She stepped forward silently, looking around at the remainding people (who is left?).

"I guess I'll go to ComPassion if someone will be good enough to show me the way..."

Lisarianne

Lisarianne smiled at her companions and patted the former ladybug on its now graceful neck. She whispered, "I shall call you Clarity, for we shall need it on this mission." Unfolding the map Bismuth had given her, she quickly mapped out a course to ComPewter's lair. "We should head west towards the realm of the Purple Mountain Majesty. From there, we must set off southwest through the Gummy Barrens. ComPewter is not far from there."

Leaping unto Clarity's back, she spurred her into a gallop. Shouting over her shoulder, "Let's go slugs! I don't have all day, you know!" she took off like a shot, hair flying wildly behind her, her laughter echoing discordantly through the air.

*of course, Roland was right behind her, going as fast as the horse would go without hurting it, Fame and Renown awaited him If he could at last Defeat the Wicked Com-Puter! Oh ho ho! This would be the game of a lifetime!* HA ha ha! Look Out Com! We're Comin Fer ya!!! *he laughed and rode past her, seeming to race but not really doing so, a wild, Unabashed, unbrideled gleam Of Recklessness In his eye, He Was Ready.*

sidenote to lisiarianne xanth has geography roughly corresponding to florida. so i don't think they are mountains, but have fun

"Com Passion is located in cave near a love spring, which is why she has such a warm personality, take a sweet gift, and you should be fine." Sandy

Bismuth rummages through maps and pulls out one to ComPassion's cave and hands it to Rose.

Sandy, "I guess that leaves me to go to Good Magician's castle face the three challenges and pay for answer with a year of my life. Tainted, will you accompany me or Rose?"

Robert Sith:

Smiling wisely Robert wiggled his mustache again at Glory. "I think I will come with you." He said in an attempt to hide is Wizardly weekness for widdle women... Or... Something like that. He turned to the rest in the party in the room. "I will go to help the children with Glory here." His voice was dry and thick with an imitation of oldishness.
