"You see, isn't this fun?"
He passed her the cotton candy, looking at the night sky as loud sounds from the carnival filled the air. It was something he hadn't had in a long time. Superheroing sucked sometime.
It did beat watching t.v. though.
"It's amazing," he put his arm around her, walking up to a ball throwing booth.
"Why don't we try it?"
He nodded, and paid the man as he put the balls on the counter. She picked up one, throwing it at the basket. It went in, and then fell out. Mary Jane pouted, and grabbed up the other ball determined to get it in this time.
Peter wasn't paying attention to her, he was looking up at the huge roller coaster. His spidersense hadn't gone off, but still he felt something unfamiliar.
Something that had the hairs on the back of his neck stand out.
A dark figure was on there. He could see the man hanging from one bar and jumping to the next, down... down... down.
Who was it?
"Peter."
He turned around, seeing Mary Jane looking at him with a concerned face.
"Peter, are you ok?"
He looked back at the figure, but only for a moment, "Yeah, I just thought I saw something."
She held onto a ball, putting it in his palm, "Win me something."
He looked at the basket, holding the ball carefully. Then, in a quick flip the ball was inside. It rolled around a few times, but stayed inside. The prize was a little stuffed teddy bear.
He shook his head, why weren't there any stuffed spiders? He supposed spiders weren't very cute or cuddly.
Just then something crashed behind them. Peter looked to see a man dressed in completely black coming out of the rubble that was once a booth.
"We've been looking for you."
"Oh no..." Peter took a step back. Venom.
Mary Jane was completely dumbfounded, "Peter, what's going on?"
He shook his head, "I need to go, Mary Jane. Hurry home, please. I'll call you tomorrow."
Peter run, knowing the thing would follow him. It had no reason not too. He knew it was only after him. But why?
How did he get back to this dimension? He supposed Vemon would answer some questions. Quickly, he found a conealed place to change.
Spiderman found Venom on a nearby rooftop, he made sure to keep his distance.
"Long time no see. I'd say I was happy to see you, but I'm not quite sure if that's true."
He shook his head, "We want you to come with us. There is a problem you need to help."
Oh? Venom was asking for his help? He looked around, not quite sure what to do.
He hated the fact that his spider sense didn't work on Venom (long story, I'll explain if anyone really wanted to know).
"Ok... lead the way," into the lion's den.
Venom jumped off the roof, slinging east.
East? Nothing out there but countryside and huge mansions. He slung after him, still unsure why he was doing this.
