A ballroom to ourselves...

With the threat of the new mutant averted for the time being, Photon focused once again on his enchanting date.

"Looks like they have everything under control. It would be a shame to have come all this way and not even get to dance", he said with a smile.

"Very true", agreed Silk, as he took her arm and they strolled into the ballroom.

To Photon's relief, the band was still there, a bit confused from the action outside. Their were also a few couples left, and the chaperone had returned, but it was a very intimate group of people there, as most had returned to their dorms thanks to the Vampire incident.

He walked Silk to the center of the dance floor, and whispered, "I'll be right back." With that he shot over to make a request. Soon a saxophonist started playing a very familiar tune, as Photon returned to Silk.

"'Careless Whisper', my favorite song", he said with a smile, then continued in mock English accent "May I have this dance, m'lady?", complete with a a kiss on her hand and a bow of greeting.

"Certainly, kind Sir", she replied in kind, as she placed her arms around Photon's neck and faced him, her ringlets caressing his face. He held her waist and pulled her close.

As they danced, he whispered, "God I just wanna fuck the hell out of you."

"I know", said Silk with wink, reminding Photon of her telepathy. She teasingly rubbed against him, stirring his rising hard on.

Photon just smiled and kissed her. All the while, Hannah watched them from across the ballroom, intrigued by their chemistry.

I awake with a start, a cold sweat gathering on my forehead, my breathing irregular. Images of enemys past and present plauge my dreams.Inturrupted only by blurry visions of a beutiful and powerful mutant in a light blue party dress, the girl who found me at the fence earlier.
I stand up streching my arms and yawning, I catch a reflection of myself in a mirror on the wall my fangs are small but noticable, and my skin retaining its normal colour. The cuts on my face and bruises on my chest have began to heal, my outward appearance seems practically human. Another day and I will be at full strength again.

Outside the small window, I see the sun nearly starting to rise, it will be day break soon.
Tying all my hair back in a small ponytail (exept for several tedrils hanging down my face), I grab my large leather coat and open the wooden door stepping out into the dwindling darkness
"time to find some answers"
A green glow surrounds my body and as a soft breeze blows across my face I pull a soft pack of cigarettes out of my pocket lite one and blow out the dense grey smoke. My feet slowly rise from the ground as i function my powers and immedietly take flight, carried by the wind, hands in my pockets.

Silk couldn't believe how this day had turned out. One minute all on her own determined to do well at her studies, the next flying... in more ways than one. She snuggled against Photon, feeling his energy warm her skin and his mind warm up her sex drive.

He was such a romantic, she smiled to herself. Rubbing up against him as they swayed to the music. She paused, and Photon used this moment to dip her, causing her to laugh in delight at the sudden movement. She clung to his shoulders as he eased her back up, she used that moment to body slide up against him.

She then rested her cheek against his chest and thought about what had made her pause in the first place. There! That was it, that strange feeling she had that someone was watching her, or them, she wasn't sure exactly which. She wished her telepathy was as accurate as Prof X's. She only ever got emotions, and vague feelings from people, never the clear precise words that other telepath's got. She felt such a failure.

She shivered as that feeling passed over her again. Photon thinking she was cold powered up, his warmth penetrating. She smiled up at him immediately understanding his intention. She lifted herself onto her tiptoes and placed a warm kiss on his cheek, completely at odds with the intense need for him that was flowing through her.

Mutant quirks...

Having never had a empathic girlfriend before, Photon found himself nervously scanning his thoughts for anything Silk might sense that could offend her. Being with her gave him so many lustful thoughts that his glow increased with embarassment. She sensed his troubles and said, "It's okay, sweetie. You don't have to do that for me. Believe me I have sensed a lot worse in other people's minds. From you all I feel is passion."

"I'm sorry", he said. "I just don't want to mess anything up. I haven't had too many girlfriends, and-"

"Don't worry", she replied, following with a kiss.

"It must be great to really know that someone feels love for you."

Silk leaned her head against his chest once more, and said in a low tone, "It all balances out once you realize how many people don't even think twice about you."

Photon stroked her hair, and a dirty smile curled her lips as she sensed an image of herself going down on him as he glowed brighter than ever.

"I am definitely not part of that second group", he said, smiling, as his second hand slid down to her rear.

He twirled her a few more times and dipped her once more, but they became too comfortable being close to do too many fancy moves.

I close my eyes and let the wind flow over my face.Again bringing the cigarette to my lips to inhale, I notice music still coming from the big building I had seen the night before, quite but still playing. Slowly lowering myself down I get as close to the window as I can without being seen. I see two other Mutants dancing. The girl's hair appears to move on its own, and the guy.....CHRIST!, seems to be glowing.
"Tough brake pal"
I whisper to myself. That girl, I can almost feel her in my head.
I shudder as a cold breeze passed then shake myself back to reality. Again catching a fresh gust of wind, I take flight.
"That girl was .......beautiful"
I finish the last drag of my cigarette and flick it into a bush before I land in a quadrangle, and walk towards a door with a gold nameplate.

The sun just then started to raise casting long shadows behind me.
"Alright Charlie, time to wake up!"

Hannah saw Xavier with the newcomer, her mind open for any message from Xavier to indicate if this were friend, or foe. After many tense moments, but satisfied Xavier had the situation under control, Hannah turned back to the party.

Hannah saw Snowblind, Shadowcat and Orgazmo also outside, each one bristling with their fledgling powers, ready to jump in to protect their classmates, their school. Glancing back Hannah smiled. Our future appears to be...quite hopeful...

Each social function at the school was carefully orchestrated to promote closeness between students, new and old, and it was crucial this dance continue, if at all possible. Humming lowly, Hannah used the more subtle of her powers to keep panic at bay, to help calm the other students...

A touch here, a low word there, Hannah saw several students leave..."A pity" she sighed...but many had decided to stay. Hannah watched two of the dancers, newcomers both, dancing, seeming to only have eyes for each other. Smiling as she recognized them as Photon, and Silk...and recognized the sparkling birth of a new relationship...good, good, she thought.

Taking a glass of champagne from a nearby table, Hannah's thoughts went back to the newcomer...fascinating, she thought, could he really be a vampire? Remembering the old tales she'd been told as a child, how the stories had frightened her, and intrigued her...and this young man, beaten and bleeding, but handsome none-the-less, appears to be a vampire...how utterly...darkly...romantic...Hannah laughed to herself at the brief thought of leaving the doors to her balcony open tonight...

Looking around, Hannah took in all of the gloriously beautiful students around her, wondering where that sweet young Shadowman had gotten off to...Hannah remembered how earlier he had claimed to mistake her for another student...he's either a real smooth-talker, she thought with a smile, or he has excessively poor eyesight, but she was charmed by it all the same...

Tired...Sorry I'm late.

I enter the party, and see Kitty over to the side talking with Rogue. I did as she asked, getting as much of this ice off of me as I could. However, I was soaked. My clothes, everything. I looked like I fell into the pool. As I approached the two, Rogue stood up, patting Shadowcat's shoulder. Rogue then left, smiling at me.
"Make sure she's home by midnight," she said, joking.
"Oh, well before then," I say, joking with her. Shadowcat patted the seat beside her, indicating to me to sit down. I did so, and she brushed the water droplets out of my hair. I smiled at her.
"Sorry." I say apologetically. "Using ice for armor leaves me a little wet.
"It's okay. At least I can see your eyes now," she said. I smiled. She looked around, noting that almost everyone had left. The only two people here were that glowing kid and some girl with...animate hair. Cool. "It looks like we're the only people left, Eric. What do you want to do?"
I stood grabbing her hand. She stood with me and we left the room. "There is a party tonight, but I really don't want to take you there."
"Okay, where do you want to take me?" I looked around, not knowing right from left. She was smiling rather widely. She had to be loving this. "Come on." She led me off, heading down a path towards her dorm.

He walked silently up behind Hannah and covered her eyes. "Guess whoooof!!!" he grunted as he got a swift elbow in the stomach and he doubled over in pain and fell to his knees.

"Oh Curtis," Hannah said, "I'm sorry, you all right?"

He got back up to his feet wincing a bit, "Been taking self-defence training advanced level huh?" He smiled.

She smiled back, "Yeah, but still you should've known better. Where'd you go?"

He shrugged. "Around. I...had something I needed to do."

She smirked mischieviously, "Something or someone?"

He gave a smirk back, "Well, Hannah, despite the fact that I'm a young guy I am able to keep my hormones in check...I'm waiting for marriage."

Ready for more...

"Let's get out of here", said Photon to Silk as their song ended. "I know we only had one dance, but it was all prolonged foreplay if you ask me." She nodded and smiled. They walked out of the ballroom arm in arm, smiling and waving goodbye to Hannah, the new Headmistress.

"Don't get into trouble, you two", she said with a knowing smile, as the young lovers shot out into the night sky. On the way back to his dorm, Photon cursed, "Shit! I left my Biology book in my desk in class. It is probably still there. You don't mind if I stop by to get it do you?"

"Go ahead", said Silk, once again enjoying the glory of flight. Photon landed before his Biology classroom door and used his intangibility to unlock the door from the inside.

"C'mon", he said, and they entered the dark classroom to retrieve his textbook.

Silk recognized the room as the same place where she has her Honors Humanities course. Quietly, she moved to the blackboard and began writing a message as Photon looked for the book.

"I got it!" he exclaimed as he looked to find Silk finishing her message:

"I love you too, baby", he said he shot over to kiss her. Their kiss became very passionate as Photon dropped his book and began running his hands all over Silk. Her hair involuntarily jumped out of its styling to caress him back.

"Hey, let's do it on Storm's desk", said Photon mischievously, glowing from his excitement.

I was a little tired as we entered Kitty's room. A few things were strewn about, but overall it was clean.
"Excuse the appearance of my room," she said, throwing everything into a corner.
"It's okay," I tell her. She opened her closet and retrieved a towel and a robe, tossing them to me. "Here."
I took them and headed towards the bathroom. Once there, I removed the wet clothes and dried myself off. I pulled the loaner robe on, tying it in the front, and exited the bathroom. She had removed her dress and was sitting on the end of the bed.
"You look...nice," she said as I stood there.
"Sorry, I'm just a little uncomfortable," I stammered.
"Why," she asked, a quizzical look on her face.
"Well, you know...your room...you're half...MOSTLY naked, I don't know. It could be something along those lines."
"You're kidding," she said with a slight laugh. She stood and gracefully walked up to me. "Relax. I don't bite...much." She pulled me to the bed by the robe. I tried to relax. I think I just liked her a lot. I sat next to her on the bed, and she crossed her legs, leaning back on her hands.

"I have to use the restroom," I say.
"You were just in there." She wasn't only beautiful, she was observant.
"Yeah. I'll be right back." I went back into her bathroom with every intention of teleporting away. I could deal with the intolerance of others, I just beat them up. This was totally different. I paced the floor for a few seconds, contemplating it. Then I looked in the mirror.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I said to myself. I left the bathrooom and went back to where she was sitting.

"I'm sorry...if you want to leave...I'll understand."
"No, I'm fine." I sat beside her and eased my finger along her thigh. She looked down, smiling.
"How long does it usually take your clothes to dry," she asked, leaning towards me.
"Quite a while, but who cares?"

I leaned forward, gently pressing my lips to hers. It was a very simle kiss. She pulled away slightly, then leaned back forward. I kissed her with a little more passion this time, and she reached up, grabbing the collar of the robe and lay back on the bed, pulling me on top of her. We sank into her mattress, and I felt her incredible body pressing against me as I rested on top of her. My tongue twirled lazily with hers as we lay there, kissing. She wrapped her hand around the back of my head and pulled me down harder, as if she was trying to pull me into her mouth. I licked along her teeth, then over the roof of her mouth. I felt her tense up, then cough slightly, then start laughing as I pulled away from her. She was fanning the area right in front of her face with her hand, smiling.

"You okay, Kitty," I asked with some concern.
