We are no longer accepting new characters

This is a revising of my most successful thread of all time!

The X-men, the mutant superheroes led by Proffessor Charles Xavier, to better the relations between man and mutant.

Along with his first students; Scott Summers (Cyclops), Robert Drake (Iceman), Warren Worthington III (Archangel), Henry McCoy (Beast) & Jean Grey (Later known as Pheonix). Xavier went about attempting toa chive his goals of peace, as well as several times saving the world from threats such as Apocalypse and Magneto.

The X-men recruited more members, such as Storm, Havok, Polaris, Gambit, Rogue, Wolverine, NightCrawler, Jubilee, Banshee, Collosus, Shadowcat, Eventually gaining an impressive roster, that easily outmatched that of other team such as the Avengers.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/89/X-Men2006withoutdeadpool.JPG

The X-men, apart from being based primarily at the Xavier School for Mutants, also eventually split into several splnter teams such as The New Mutants,
The Muir-Island X-Men, Phalanx Covenant X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, X-treme,
EoD X-men, Planet X Street Team, X-Force, X-Factor, Excalibur, Generation X,
X-Corporation, X-Statix

With several students being formed into squads such as Flying Class, Stepford Cuckoos, Omega Gang, Special Class, Rogue's Squad, Hellions, Corsairs, Paragons, Alpha Squadron, Gambit's Squad, Storm's Squad, Exemplars, Excelsiors.

Eventually times changed, and Professor Xavier developed Brain Cancer, eventually dying. After this Tragedy, the X-men went their different ways, each keeping in contact with each other, occasionally gathering togethor to help save those who needed it.

++Present Day++
Dr. Hank McCoy finally decides to reopen the school, with himself as it Head Teacher, in honour of Charles Xavier, and the Charles Xavier Memorial College for Mutants is opened.

All staff and original members are NPC's

For characters, don't go overboard, these are kids who have only just learnt their powers, so don't make them uber strong.

Original Characters who have died
Scott Summers, Collosus, Banshee, Bishop, Xavier, Storm, Emma Frost,

Hey, Nite! Thanks for inviting me. I'd like to give this another shot, not the least because I like the character(s) I used in the others so much. If it would be all right, I'd be glad to join again.

*pokes head in* I might want to play :D There's a few ideas I've got kicking around that might be fun.

Arm, if you'd used anyone who wasn't Chris Summers (I hope thats the right name and who you're on about) I'd kill you!

lol, of course you can use whomever you want....as long as its him... :p

Hookerboots, post your ideas on here, everyone is welcome to join.

Arm, I'm thinking of bringing Onyxx back... do you agree, or should I use a new character?

I was, indeed, thinking of Chris. It may be my last hurrah with him, but I like the character enough I want to try at least once more. Though I may tweak some of his powers a bit.

The last time I used him, I gave him a diamond form similar to Emma Frost's because I wanted him to have a power inheritance from her too. And we can still do that, if it's okay with you, but I'd thought a little about having him possible be telepathic. Not to the extent Emma was, and perhaps limited in some way. It's just a thought. *shrugs*

As for Onyxx, he has potential and is a fun character, but it could be tricky. I'm not saying this to be a jerk but Onyxx, like some other characters of yours from time to time, is the loner type who often wanders off to be alone. The loner character can be really cool, but it does make it hard to interact with him since unless there's some clue or hint, everyone thinks "he wants to be alone." So, I'm all for it, but it might be worthy tempering his loner tendencies to avoid the problem of your character ending up isolated and/or feeling ignored. Just my two cents.

My first idea was one that I'd used in another X-men thread before, a technopath. Sort of like a telepath, but she can talk to/"mind control" machines - simple machines and complex machines (to a lesser extent). Because she's still a student, it's less controlling and more talking to, and she's got more control over simple machines (door hinges, screws [hehe], and the like).

Another one I was thinking of was manipulation of earth/rocks. The ability to move rocks and create (small-scale) tremors and chasms, as well as the abilty to sculpt solid rock like soft clay.

The last one is a sort of Nightcrawler-y, but only in that she doesn't really look human. She'd be green and scaly instead of blue and furry, with a small tail and a set of bat-style wings (think dragon-human hybrid). Right now, she won't be able to fly-fly - she can glide for short distances, and slow her falls, but doesn't have the pectoral development to fly yet - and can maybe shoot sparks from her mouth, but not true fire yet.

Questions? Comments? Lies? Concerns?

Question: What is the capital of Malaysia?

Lie: I am Valhallan, Viking God of ROCK!

Concern: Are we that politically venal that the President swatting a fly is getting more coverage than his policies?

Comments: I think all of your ideas are winners, Hook. The technopath idea is a really cool one and in today's society could be very potent indeed. I also have always had a fondness for earth powers. The draco-morph is also really neat, the way you described her. Oddly alluring, actually.

*may need head examined*

Kuala Lumpur :p

Lie: I am Valhallan, Viking God of ROCK!

Uh-huh. And I'm the queen of the forest fairies.

Concern: Are we that politically venal that the President swatting a fly is getting more coverage than his policies?

Do you even have to ask?

Hee! Thanks! High praise from one such as you.

*may need head examined*

. . . No comment :D

Armphid
Go for it with the telepathy if you want.
One question, as Mum n Dad would be dead for him again, could we possibly have this person as Chris's big sister, who left the mansion years ago and has gone AWOL? Ruby Summers

HookerBoots
I like all the options, I prefer the first one though the technopath. :)

I think i'm gonna have the green furred son of Abigail Brand and Hank McCoy

Name: Robert 'Bobby' Brand-McCoy
Codename: Hyrbid
Age: 20
Species: Half Mutant, Quarter Human, Quarter Alien
Appearance:
http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs23/i/2008/001/3/8/Beast_Boy_by_RavenDarkDragon.jpg
Powers: His alien heritage has given him the ability to coat at least his hands in some type of blue energy flame that may be projected in the way of a flame thrower (over a distance of 10 metres, and this takes a lot out of him, so the duration can differ), increased Agility and slightly increased metabolism (He eats a lot). His appearance also lends him Claws and sharp teeth.
Abilities He has a vast knowledge of languages, including several alien tongues.
Family: General Abigail Brand (Mother), Doctor Hank McCoy (Father)
History: The son of the X-men's Beast and SWORD leader, Abigail Brand, and named after the X-man Iceman, Bobby was born with his green furred appearance. Bobby was raised in the Xavier Mansion with his father, as his mother deemed her missions and SWORD Hq to dangerous for him.

Despite this, when he was 12 and his father vanished for a 3 years and the deaths of several of his team-mates, Bobby ended up living with his mother, and ended up visiting the Skrull, Kree and Shi-ar empires (among others), as well as living with the Inhumans for a time.

Bobby grew up amongst the x-men, to the point where he sees them as family. He doesn't have his father's genius intellect, yet he's not stupid. A prankster at heart.

Thanks, Nite. I like the idea of a sibling, since he'd need some kind of direct guardian to raise him after his parents died. So Ruby is in. As a side note, I'm still not sure about the telepathy. I'd like people's opinions on it.

Name: Christopher Charles Frost Summers
Codename: Corsair (for now), Cyclops (II, eventually)
Student

Age: 18
Hair: Sandy blond
Eyes: Burning red pools of energy. Chris' eyes glow brightly, emitting red light up to two feet away. Under the effects of a power inhibitor or his diamond form, they are an icy blue.
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 160
Appearance: Tall but not yet grown into his height, Chris has a slender frame. He's all muscle from a lifetime of adventure, but needs to pack a little more meat on his gangly bones. His features are a blend of Scott's rugged handsomeness and Emma's aristocratic beauty, both strong and noble. When training or in combat, he wears one of his father's visors with the blocking lens removed.

Powers:
Chris' powers follow the Summers line of energy manipulation, with a few physical mutations to his eyes. He has inherited some of his mother's power as well. His powers are as follows:

Optic Blasts: Chris' body absorbs all forms of ambient energy, converting and storing that power. He can release it in the form of beams from his eyes that are composed of both kinetic and heat energy. Thus far, Chris appears to follow his father's power profile: his blasts are already very powerful and will get stronger as he gets older. Chris can control his blasts, not needing to wear the visor his father did. This means he can turn them on or off, or generally make them weaker or stronger. He has not yet learned much in the way of fine control; his blasts still a crude instrument rather than the sophisticated tool his father employed.

Diamond Form: Much like Emma Frost, Chris can change his body into diamond to gain super human strength and durability. Whereas she became a blue-white color, Chris becomes a deep, brilliant red. However, in this form he cannot use his optic blasts and telepathy. In addition, his diamond form is not stable. He can only maintain it for 2 minutes before it "breaks" and he returns to normal. He also tends to keep a reduced version of injuries sustained while in that form. For example, if he got a cut in diamond form, when he changed back he would have a bruise there. He doesn't like to use this power, keeping it as a sort of panic button in case things go wrong.

Enhanced Sight: Chris' eyes are highly advanced, his vision three times as acute as a normal human’s. He can also see in infrared and ultraviolet spectrums, as well as use a High-End EM spectrum as a kind of “X-ray vision” (this gives him a migraine if he uses to for much more than a minute)

Immune to the powers of his father, uncles, and sister.

Biography:
Chris Summers has had a crazy life. Born to (arguably) mutant kind's number one power couple, he has had a slew of non-blood related uncles, aunts, and cousins his entire life. Growing up, he was no stranger to adventure, often having to hide out during attacks on the Greymalkin Institute or even being kidnapped and held hostage a number of times. Adventure and super heroics were the young boy's life.

Upon his parents' death and the disillusion of the school, Chris was raised by his sister Ruby. Though it was more of a case of the two siblings trying to raise each other, with mixed success. The two stayed mostly in San Fransisco at first, trying to live normal lives. However, it seemed as though that wasn't in the cards. Whether it was a year-long stint in space with their Uncle Alex as members of the Starjammers or the period where Chris and Ruby became part of the more radical mutant rights group The New Mutants, the super lifestyle seemed destined for them.

When plans to reopen the school were first announced, the two youngsters headed east to see what "Uncle" Hank McCoy was going to do with their birthright. Shortly after arriving, Ruby left in the middle of the night, leaving a note that explained her feelings of having been burdened with raising Chris and that she was going to go and live her own life now.

The desertion hurt Chris deeply, but he tries to hide it. He has agreed to become part of the first class of students at the school. Chris disagrees with much of the integrationist/mild tone of the mutants rights rhetoric employed by and coming out of the school. Perhaps due to his mother's influence, he feels they should be working much more on protecting mutants from humans rather than trying to "play nice" with a world that fears and hates them.

Hope it is okay if I make a non-mutant. Sorry if the image isn't what he's described as, just imagine him black furred with red eyes, red mane and a reptilian tail instead of a horse tail,

http://fc07.deviantart.com/fs33/f/2008/297/e/c/Horse_kick_by_hyunwook.jpg

Name: Stampede Bloodmane
Codename: The Bloody Stampede

Job: Teacher/Crime Fighter

Age: 26
Hair: Red
Eyes: Red
Height: 10'5"
Weight: 353 lbs
Appearance: A huge giant of a horseman from an alternative dimension, his body is pure black, his eyes red, his red mane tied in a long warrior braid that reaches his knees. Instead of a horse tail he has a long serpentine tail with a wicked club on the end. Unlike a horse is Stampede omnivore and eats both meat, vegetables, metal and other things. He has sharp teeth made to crush bone and tear flesh.

Powers:

Super Strength: Back at his own dimension he had much higher gravity and there his kind were incredible strong to begin with so in this dimension is he just like superman.

Super Senses: Born with natural high senses of smell, sight and hearing he has been forced to learn to block out some scents or turn off his senses all together as Earth's cities and towns smell like a mixture of garbage and shit/pee buckets piling together for decades.

Regeneration: his regeneration lets him restore everything from cuts and bruises to lost fingers and pulverized bones.

Toughness: He can take bullets, blades, plasma, lasers and even nuclear energy, but too much of energy weapons and it begins to hurt a lot, even though it doesn't injure him a lot. and even though he has high resistance to physical injure can he still get internal injuries from the force of the attack on him.

Metal Piercing Teeth: The teeth of his jaws can split through steel, he hasn't tried anything harder then that but by legends had one of his kind chewed on a diamond, sure he had broken his jaw but the diamond had been eaten.

Metabolism: With his incredible powers Stampede has to eat a lot to regain his strength, especially after regenerating from wounds. His kindred eat metal regularly as to keep their bones and teeth strong, their stomach acids absorbing the metal into their bones. Because without the metal their bones wouldn't be able to handle the strength behind their muscles.

Biography: A chieftain of his people Stampede Bloodmane was a great warrior, leader and strategist of his people, which lived in spread out clans in a large plain called the Emerald Plains. He has fought and killed many with his bare hands, with tribal weapons, with traps and with strategies.

The reason for him being in this dimension is the fact that a kingdom of humans wanted the plains for their rule and had attempted a coup to take over the plains with both assassinations, diplomacy and coups. But Stampede and the other clans resisted and slaughtered the human armies invading their home to the last man.

But when they confronted the king of the kingdom he attempted to flee with a teleportation spell from his wizard servant, Stampede crushed the wizard with a jump of his hooves and got teleported to New York City, in the open streets. Needless to say it was pure chaos when Stampede found himself in a strange place, strong disgusting scents and loud noises burning his ears and nostrils, driving him insane with pain. As people began to throw things at him, thinking he was a mutant, he went crazy and slammed his hooves into the pavement, causing strong tremors through the streets.

Stampede rushed through the streets, bashing his head against everything in sight to cut the loud noise and disgusting scents out of his senses. Soon he began to throw vehicles in his way and punched holes in buildings, rushing through it like the Hulk on a bad Monday. When the heroes arrived Stampede fought in his pained state and seriously injured half the members before the telepath Jean Summers managed to grasp his head and after going through his mind she helped him block out the strong scents and the X-Men took the supernatural creature to their HQ.

there Stampede spent a whole year learning how to lower his senses, how to speak and read english, and what the world he was in was like. But he's not capable of speaking very clearly yet but can make himself understood. And with nowhere to go the horseman found himself on a lose at what to do when Beast offered a position as teacher in strategy, warfare, combat and survival. If anything had Stampede aced in these subjects and knew enough to survive a whole year anywhere in the world without supplies. He accepted and also found himself a part time crime fighter, though the world declared him Not-Mutant was he still thought of as a mutant or monster with his unique appearance.

Drakkwall, do you really think Stampede fits in an "X-Men school" setting? If it were the normal X-Men (and by "normal", I mean comics, TV series or movies), then it certainly could make sense for an alien from another dimension to go into the X-Men universe. But Stampede is a bit too weird for the school setting (and this is the X-Men we are talking about, yes, I know).

That said, I can´t say I´m against him. The bio does make sense, and the innuendos would go through the roof in record time... :D

Anyway, I think I´d like to join the RP, if you´re all fine with that. I just need to think of a suitable not-yet-mastered power to go with my character.

Gyspy is back bitches

I will post her bio soon you all know her though totally sex, pyshic telekentic hottie

Hmmmmmmmm.... how about I make him a student from texas wh omutated into a horseman from radiation and close contact with horse animals?

errr we have a gorilla as a principal, I don't see how a horse is any different, andn ot to mention the mutants who are basically slime and the likes.

Armpid
A) Powers - you forgot to mention his diamond form
B) Telepathy sounds good as it is.
C) Could I possibly say that Chris and Bobby would be best friends, or very good friends at least. It could be argued that they grew up together in the mansion/institute, and it could be presumed that Ruby and Chris's time away from the mansion where they did other stuff, would have occured at the same time that Bobby was going round space with his Mum and SWORD - hell chances are they may have had a Starjammers/SWORD Adventure togethor or something. Thoughts?
D) Good Profile! Bio Approved, you're in!

CdnameAngeleyz
Of course there is room :) It'd be nice to have more of the original cast back :)

Sorry, your character wouldn't work in this thread. Katamari Roller makes some good points, and I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the character.

I think Onyxx may be an background pacifist character who helps out at the mansion lol. You'know one of those characters who doesn't get any lines.

sorry last few posts were done as i was writing mine, and i have to say, we also dont want too many furry people on the thread. I was thinking of doing an X-Men Furry's version at some point, if you want to join that when I do...

Sounds great, I will just make a different character for this thread, once I have found a good inspiration for it.

While I´m getting away with being the elitist bitch, may I also remind you all that the X-Men were not, with notable options, omnipotent beings? And that their powers were somehow related, and not just stapled together on top of them?

I´m saying that because I´m wondering how the hell are omni-linguism, being a human blowtorch, and having an advanced metabolism, related to each other and to looking like a green gorilla.

Ur not an elitist bitch, lol, I'm just as bad, especially when it comes to the x-men.

the blowtorch and linguism is inherited from his mother, Abigail Brand, a half alien of unknown race. perhaps Omnilinguism was too big a term.

and as for the metabolism, all that I meant by that was that he eats a hell of a lot, and doesn't really get hugely fat. this could also be of the alien species, but Beast also had an advanced metabolism as shown by his increased healing factor.

Also the fur is from his father, but the green is from his mum.

and to be fair, who knows how the alien DNA would react with the Mutant DNA.

Trust me, I'm jus as crazy when it comes to pointing out errors, just don't get me started on the x-men movies. lol

Y'all would not believe the trouble I had finding this profile! It almost would have taken less effort just to write it from scratch.

Name: Lucy Quant
Alias: Electronica
Age: 19
Appearance: http://codename-dangergirl.deviantart.com/art/Comic-style-canvas-headphones-53341728
Lucy has green eyes and dark blonde hair that she usually wears up in a ponytail or holds back with a headband. About 5'8", generously proportioned, and dresses to suit her body, not necessarily to be sexy . . . though they're not mutually exclusive.

Powers: Techopathy. That is, she can communicate with machines without physical contact, much the same way that telepaths can communicate with the minds of other people. Not only complicated machines, like computers and security systems, but simple machines like hinges and wheels respond to her power. The rapport between Lucy and whatever machine she’s attempting to control isn’t instantaneous; prolonged exposure makes a given machine more responsive faster. For example, she is able to open a door she uses every day with hardly any effort, while a door she’s never used before would take far more work. Prolonged exposure also seems to bring out unique “personalities” in the machines, which don’t always vanish after her influence is taken away. Her powers are easily confused for telekinesis, but are in reality very different.

She can also, with effort, in effect reverse her powers, making her completely invisible to all modern technology: security cameras don't film her, laser grids pass through her (or 'think' they do, which adds to the same sum), floor sensors don't register her weight. Doing this, however, is draining, and she can maintain it comfortably for no more than two minutes at a time.

She is also resistant - though not immune - to most forms of mind control and psionic attack, though she is unaware of this fact. If/when she is attacked or someone attempts to mind control her, they 'hear' feedback and static unless they are strong enough to push past it.

Bio: Born in a small town in Missouri, Lucy is the only child in her family. Her father worked in a quarry as a stone cutter, and her mother was a teacher’s aide at the local elementary school. Her father died when Lucy was five in a rock slide at the quarry, and the resulting settlement gave her mother enough money to keep both of them for a few years. But when Lucy’s powers manifested, she found work quickly as tech support for the school system – since she was able to make computers do what she wanted.

After a few years of this, Lucy moved out of her mother’s house, tired of the rules and restrictions her mother placed on her, when she was actually the one making the money in the house. Lucy packed up her things and moved to Chicago, where she managed to make enough to live on by working in schools as maintenance – and occasionally opening locks without informing the owners of said locks. After being caught one day by the owner of a house she’d been hoping to use for the night, Lucy was put in juvenile detention, and stayed there until Hank McCoy came to get her and take her back to the X-Mansion.

Personality: Lucy is used to being able to talk to or with almost anything, and so tends to have very little in the way of personal boundaries – when your alarm clock can watch you undress, it’s very hard to have privacy, after all. She knows that some of her actions were not entirely legal or moral, but believes that she did what she had to in order to survive. She tends to be very open and friendly, willing to help other people whenever she can.
