Hmm...*looks around at all of the COBWEBS that have compiled about.....**grumbles**and begins getting to work...making the place more presentable!*

*follows behind and polishes or detail dusts everything as Lach goes over it*

Ah...movement and whatnot...dare I let my mind begin to engage mutant thoughts once more?;)

Heck to the YESSS, "Remec"! And I have to be honest. As I was brushing off some good ol' rust last night when I was writing for the first time in months...I was genuinely excited....to be looking back, at these characters. At this world. And most especially, at the opportunity to return, and play with you fine people again! ;)

Once I get some material enough under my belt, I'll unleash it...and we will all be green lit once more. I'm hoping that "heartofcourage" will definitely grace us with her presence once more as well -- *wiiiiiiink**nudge* -- as I know she's around, juggling. *grin*

I did just make a post in the recruiting thread, to bulk up on our female staff...as it looks like the *SUMMER-DROUGHT* may have done a number on our participants here. As per usual.

But yeah....whilst a lot of that happens behind the scenes. We'll get this party going again soon!

The roster has been updated to reflect who is active. I'm sure this will change before I officially 'green light' the RP again...

I'm more than willing to join up again. I'm super busy with work at the moment though, so I might not be writing until the first week of October.

OUTSTANDING "heartofcourage", knew we could count on you(and why I left your character up as active too)! That time frame should work perfectly, with how/when I plan to officially launch the IC thread again. So no worries there.

And thanks for checking in! :)

Also, I got some interested people for the roleplay, waiting to have specifics locked down. Things seem to be in our favor once more...*thumbs up!* ;)

Just to update from my end(is there ANY other to be concerned about? JK): I plan on "launching" things by the end of the day, this Sunday. Got something going on, on Friday....so I have the days in between and up until....to get out one or two more 'pieces' that I'd like. And feel comfortable with...

So I'm hoping against hope, that by Monday....everyone will be ready to play and roll. That's MY gameplan anyhow! :)

Start dusting off those characters of yours, people....IT's coming, whether we want it or not! ;)

Okay I finished writing everything that I'm going to write for the 'launch' today. This time I wrote in a notebook(old school huh?), as opposed to using the laptop and a word/office like document...for whatever reason.

So I have to TYPE everything up, to transfer it...instead of just 'copy/paste' as per normal.

I'll probably start doing that. But I have company coming over soon for some football/food action. After they leave, I'll continue.

That's my update! Oh, and hopefully I can reeeeeeeeead my chicken scratch(and if its any good at that)!! Haha ;)

Talk to you guys soon...

And we've officially STARTED BACK UP, people! :)

1)Cannonball had sent out a 'panic' from his phone, to all other members on the team. I'm choosing now to let everyone respond to this, since we seemed to have missed it before(that's if you choose to). Those in NYC, it's happening at the same time that Gambit tripped the second story building alarm to the club. So he doesn't sense it. It's up to you and your character if you think they catch it.

2)Also, I have 'reinforcements'/more-players coming. Once they are finally approved, they will be allowed to post their character profile and then post.(or wait for me to introduce them into the story, as I see fit). Got at least THREE more people that will definitely be joining us, so stay tuned for that!). The roster is a lil' thin at the moment, but it'll thicken up shortly. Promise!

3)Thanks to you all for sticking with me on this. It's now time to get back into it, and pick up where we left off. Questions? Ask them. Let's have some fun! ;)

Haha. Amazing what a slew of 'new' GM/character posts, will do to ATTRACT people, huh "Felix80"? ;)

You know you're welcome. But incoming pm first!

I told you the other week I needed to see what my writing load would be like.

Turns out I have time for War. Who knew?

*thumbs up to "Felix80", before collapsing off...to Slumberland!*...mmphhh--*poooOOOOfffffffffffff!*

Love the responses so far :)

"Remec", can you change the location to Lower Manhattan though please? It's my fault, I know....I've just been calling it "The City"...but I made a point, so as to differentiate between Rogue's spot, and your group's location....to specify. And I included it in the character location breakdown(page one of either thread). Thank you! ;)

"NekoMata", do you knowKNOWknow how much I *ADORE* Rogue? Can you POSSIBLY even !!!FATHOM!!! this? Heh. So glad you're back :))))

Sure, not a problem.

When did we go all the way back to New York, though? And, if we were in New York, why wouldn't I be camped out on the stoop of the Baxter Building waiting to speak with Reed Richards (since him sending me to Xavier was so productive , and all)?

"Remec" -- You raise a great point. Back when I introduced Gambit into this roleplay, and had written him coming from Alison's/Dazzler's apartment - club neighborhood area....it was just, like I said...labeled as "The City". And when "SortOfBeautiful" came on into when I took over as GM, we continued to use that nondescript locale of sorts.

From a storytelling/GM standpoint though, clarity can go a long way especially when mapping out characters in different places on the 'board'. And so, the ambiguity had to go. I knew all along that it would be in NY, just not where.

It's important to remember that the Xavier Institute is in New York, and this Brazen Fox is located not too, too far away.

As to Jamie being sent to the Professor, rather than sticking with Reed. It was understood that the former, would be more inclined to LOOK INTO his particular situation, and give him the time of day(not to mention that's his speciality!). Whereas Mister "I have to save the world, no the universe, no just EVERYTHING + solve it all.....and not spend time with my family" Richards rather not. Especially since it didn't have to do with him directly.

The reason I got Charles out of the story asap, was because someone was actually *PLAYING* him initially..........and..........of course........*DISAPPEARED* His character and "SortOfBeautiful's" had something going on too. I didn't want to play another character, and thought it best to get him out, while addressing everyone's most immediate needs(ie get the three newest people onto the team in your character, my character, and hers....whilst sending the other established members out to find Piotr!). That's of course not to say that HE is out of the picture forever. And really. Unlike the real world, in the actual game......not a crazy amount of time has passed if one were to think about it. So while he may have worked with Jamie(and Alison, and even Remy) during those first several days, I understand from your perspective(and maybe even your character's) that it might not be the most *IDEAL* of situations....

Lastly, about the locale. I figured that part of Manhattan could certainly play out to....some dingy-ness, as was needed.

Hi team :) I am very excited to say that I will be joining your crew as Jean Grey. I will post my profile in my next post as I didn't want you all to think that I was being rude and posting without saying hi :D

Jean Grey

http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/originals/a7/43/04/a743045bfa311e813cd8d10d6bdf67f0.jpg

Name: Jean Grey

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Abilities: Jean has the powers of telepathy and telekinesis. With her telepathy she has the capacity for great influence over others; she can read thoughts, project her own thoughts to others and stun others with sheer psionic force. With her telekinesis she is able to achieve a range of things; fly, levitate objects and people, and create blasts by heating molecules. There have been incidents in the past where her emotions had gotten the better of her, and those incidents taught Jean the need to master her self control.

Physical Appearance: Jean's build is svelte and her height is average, but her red hair and green eyes are anything but. She has a mane of brilliant auburn hair that falls in graceful curves around her pretty face. Even though her smile holds all of the charm and enthusiasm of one her age, her green eyes sparkle with maturity that speaks of experience and restraint. On days where she is able to relax she prefers to wear comfortable clothes; fitted t-shirts and well cut jeans. When she is at work or training she will often end up in clothes that are comfortable and practical; form fitting to avoid restricting her movements and good quality, flexible fabrics. Even though she can be a creature of comfort, she does enjoy dressing up when the occasion is right.

Personality: Jean is well known to her friends as incredibly loving. She has a large heart, despite terrible trauma in her past, that never stops giving. This love inspires her to have a boundless supply of hope; for herself, for others, and for the world. Her time at Frost Academy under the supervision of Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw has tested and stretched this, but it has not broken. She is driven and confident, and not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She is willing to sacrifice her own needs and comforts for others, and always has time to help those in need. Despite her kind, textbook good-girl nature, there is also a side of her that craves a rush; anything to give her a break from her constant need for self control. During the many night hours where she finds it hard to fall asleep, she can be found reading with a torch under the stars.

History: When her friend was killed by a speeding car, Jean first discovered her mutant abilities. To the shock pain of the ten year old, she felt every one of her friend's last emotions. The stress of the situation left the young Jean comatose and near death, whilst her parents, John and Elaine Grey, were approached by Emma Frost. Emma convinced them to allow Jean to attend Frost Academy. There she grew close to her friends, but even after their years spent together there was something that was holding her back from opening to them completely.

After finishing her secondary education at Frost Academy Jean went to college to study psychology, ever interested in the behaviours and emotions of others. After college she soon found that Emma Frost kept her too busy for her to follow her career. Her mutant abilities grew stronger, and her energy was redirected towards her own kind. It also helped that Sebastian Shaw hired her as his personal assistant.

WELCOME "SinisterSpiders"!!! So glad you're here. I'll have EVERYONE know that I've been in a ONE YEAR plus wait to get this female individual into this roleplay -- *exaggerates a lil'**maybe??* -- no. But I DID contact her back then! Ask "SortOfBeautiful"....hm....oh, nevermind--!

Just trust me. And enjoy her presence here now. Hehe ;)

Going to add your character to the roster list now on the first pages of both threads. If you guys catch it, Jean is NOT starting out an X-Man...nor is she completely on her 'own' either....

Got a wedding to go to over the weekend. So hope by the end of it, I can introduce Jean to the story, and start firing off some responses this coming week!

I'll be posting for War late tonight. Sinister, looking forward to writing with you.

We did have a nice time, thanks! But we ended up staying an extra day there, and got back late this afternoon. So by the time I got finished other things around the house...the day here is shot. I wanted to get to some writing here.....you know how that goes.

Glad to see you posted "Felix80"! Haven't had a chance to read yet.

I have some catching up to do. This week is all me baby! Gotta square away our next "mystery participant" -- heh -- and get Miss "SinisterSpiders" going there so she can post. And get SOMEone else...up to speed as well! ;)

So much to do, so little time--*yipe!*
