Deflecting and pivoting immediately from underage marriages to drag queens. It is their way.
What exactly is the issue here? Don't states have the right to make their own laws?
Using the fig leaf of "States Rights" to condone marriage under the age of 16? Doesn't get moar MAGA than that!

SO this headline is a bit misleading, the republican party controls the house and they passed the bill. It would be true to say that some republicans opposed it but if the party had wanted to kill it the bill would be dead. The bill was sponsered by Rep. Dan Zwonitzer, a republican.

That figures given the track record of the OP.

One needs to understand...Wyoming is a Mormon state. More so than Utah per capita. But there are conclaves within Wyoming...entire towns.. that are not reoresentative of the accepted Mormon faith. They believe in polygamy...and they believe in old fucks be awarded 12 and 13 yr old girls to become "wives"...breeding stock. In fact, they buy them. Now...Wyoming can't take on the Mormon faith...and since the church itself has written words condemning the behavior, but refuse to enforce it...the State had to say...you cannot do this. It won't stop it. People really don't understand how backwards the state really is. But it is a step in the right direction

selective outrage, as usual

Y'know something, Beebee, I understand that there are "teen mom" shows on cable TV. That sort of thing doesn't appeal to me, and I've never watched a single episode. I'm guessing you haven't either (am I right?). You seem...well, "outraged" that a show like this even exists (am I right?).

and yet....somebody is watching it, or else it wouldn't be on TV. Hmm?

The bottom line: You seem outraged that someone has different tastes in TV shows than you...is that a fair assessment?

the first vote has seen it pass, by a 15-12 count. It still has to pass 2 more votes. How many of those 15 voting to pass the bill were republican? I've not gone to look just yet and, yes, not all republicans are complete and utter arseholes who want to allow coercive situations to exist that could force a 12 or 13 year old girl into a 'righteous' marriage with someone potentially a lot older than her who has got her pregnant, just so it can be considered a good thing in the eyes of god, as a "properly desired and well-ordered marriage". Of course, that might just be a case of most adults not wanting their young teenagers married to someone who's unsuitable enough to have had sex with them in the first place, let alone pregnant.

The key issue, the analysis states, is that children ages 15 and younger still can get pregnant but could no longer get married legally if the law passes.

This denies the right of the teen’s baby to be raised in a stable home by his or her mother and father, the document says, citing the state Constitution’s promise of equal protection as a basis.

“Parents, by virtue of their right to conceive children, have the pre-political, i.e. God-given, responsibility to raise their own children,” the document continues. “This right and responsibility includes guiding their own maturing children into the estate of Holy Matrimony.”

fucking cunt is outraged by the above yet ignires this

WHY>

Missouri’s new attorney general says his office has been investigating “disturbing allegations” that a transgender center has “been harming hundreds of children each year.”
Andrew Bailey confirmed the probe Thursday after whistleblower Jamie Reed, 42, came forward with damning allegations about the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
A “full investigation into these shocking allegations” was launched two weeks ago, the Republican prosecutor said.
As it turns out, Bailey jumped on this situation as soon as whistleblower Jamie Reed came forward. His office has already taken a sworn affidavit from Reed, along with documents that support her allegations.

A spokesperson for Washington University further claimed that they were “very alarmed” by the allegations and have launched an investigation of their own. That sounds as if it might prove to be a promising development. But at the same time, all of these horrors were taking place right in their own clinic. How could they have had no idea what was going on there?

It’s no surprise. This is why they are always on the soapbox over sexual “grooming” of children. Because Republicans are the sick pedophiles, rapists, and sexual predators of this country. They are fucking white trash vermin scum, every one of them.

Can you please rephrase that in the form of a statement? "an R or R related" what?

i would never bother watching that kind of programme, nor the kiddie beauty pageants or the kardashians, anything like that. simply find no desire to look at them. as you state, though, they get enough ratings to stay on so they've found an audience
