Hi,

I'm a long time lurker, newbie writer, and I have a question about the stats we see in our member areas.

My latest story:
http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=374108

Currently shows in my member area as:
Baby Seed College guy uses coeds as fertile fields for his seed.
3.44 18 16 Fetish (English) 09/09/08 approved
Public Comments: 2 Moderate Public Comments

So, this is 18 votes, 16 views. How does that work? Can people vote more than once on a story? I guess I could try it, but I respect the notion of a fair go too much.

Mind you, I don't actually care about rankings unlike certain others. I write for my own pleasure and decided to share the wealth.

Votes update immediately, views is only updated a couple of times a day. It can be a tad disconcerting when the story first comes out :)

Makes perfect sense. Scanning logs for page views is resource intensive; especially on a huge and popular site as Lit, so it's perfectly understandable too.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

Dang, you get more votes than views? I generally end up with about a 100:1 view/vote ratio. Don't complain about it! :D
