If that's what turns you on, go for it — so long as it's safe, sane and consensual.

(Consensual: read: NOT about horny fathers seducing or raping their underage daughters while pretending it's the underage daughter who's doing the seducing, thereby abdicating all responsibility)

Truly consensual, without a huge power deferential— fine. But would it be so hard to keep those conversations in the incest threads?

Instead: we've got guys on here— a lot of them, it seems, though maybe it's just the same guys over and over again— who try to flip every single thread into a prurient conversation about incest.

For many people, this is a PTSD trigger that will drive them away! How is this so hard to understand!?

Folks, show a modicum of consideration?

Yes, always. Incest and cuckoldry.
Yes. Personally, I love cuckoldry— but people don't need and shouldn't try to hijack threads about a particular fetish or situation to talk about some other “What turns ME on” if it has nothing to do with the OP.

It has very “Look at ME-E!” quality, and shows lack of respect for the person who started the thread.

But the reason I zeroed in on the incest in particular is that not only does it do all this, but it shows an incredibly calloused attitude toward those many people for whom this is a major trauma (all too many of them women and transfolk). In effect, it says to them “There’s no safe place for you here.”

HEAR HEAR!!!

The problem isn’t that people have taboo kinks. It’s that some of them forget they’re not the only ones in the room. Kink isn’t a free-for-all. It thrives in context, in consent, in mutual curiosity. That means reading the space you’re in, knowing your audience, and not forcing people into a dynamic they didn’t agree to… like… whether that’s in bed or in a forum thread. 🤣 If your fantasy involves incest then there’s a designated space for that. What’s not cool is shoehorning those narratives into unrelated conversations.
The most basic rule of any kink community (as you should know if incest is your turn-on, it still doesn’t come before someone else’s safety. People can and do get triggered. If you can’t handle that, then maybe kink spaces aren’t actually for you. This site is full of smart, sexy, curious people. No one’s asking for censorship. They’re asking for basic respect. If that feels too limiting, maybe the issue isn’t the thread… it’s your lack of self-control.

Thank you! Thank you so much. You say it better than I do. ♥️

A large part is herd mentality, like anything in the fashion industry. Someone has a slightly clever idea or does something that people notice and then everyone copies it because they don't have their own ideas. On your favorite "Get in, loser" image, you can imagine the caption "Get in, loser. We're doing incest now."

The last desperate sexually transgressive taboo of the edgelords. Personally I don’t understand why the edge of the sexual envelope had to always be pushed every generation. I think it’s current popularity had a lot to do with neo conservatism and new isolationism - keeping the range of their human interactive experience small and too local for fear of the otherness. At least it makes them easy to spot and add to the “Ignore” list.
Also I don’t give any validity to the “consensual” aspect. There is no consent there is always by its very nature a power imbalance. It is physical and emotional abuse no matter how they like to whitewash with the idea of being consensual or try to make it more palatable with labelling the parties as “step” relations.

Pretty weird.

The problem is that incest is just about the only kink that still feels naughty. Homosexuality has been mainstreamed. Transexuality is getting close. Masturbation is celebrated. Infidelity barely raises an eyebrow anymore. Porn/erotica is supposed to feel wrong somehow, to let you enjoy that delicious flavor of forbidden fruit. Except for a few really out-there things that we can't even discuss here, incest is all we have left.

Ummm…Porn isn’t supposed to feel wrong. Neither is erotica. It’s supposed to feel good in its deviousness.

If your kink only works when it crosses a moral line, maybe it’s not a kink. Maybe it’s a craving for shock because you’ve forgotten how to actually connect with desire… damn dude.

The only "wrong" thing about pornography is that the vast majority of pornstars wouldn't be in the industry if they were rich or if they had a more lucrative career alternative.

Not every (female) pornstar had the cachet as Jenna Jameson or Maitland Ward or whisper it, Traci Lords.

I'm sure its progressed from the days of Linda Lovelace (a gun was pointed to her head during a scene) but like all jobs and environments, it's not perfect.

Of course, some pornstars love their job and would choose it over the aforementioned alternate.

Is sex with relatives by marriage considered incest? Fantasies about sex with any blood relative (mother, sister, daughter, etc.) do less than nothing for me. On the other hand, those same people on my wife's side (some of them anyway) ,,, hoo boy!

Lovelace was such a sad film :(

Are you serious? They made a biopic? I didn't even know.

She definitely had an interesting life.

Did the movie tell it all? Or did it skip over the beastiality movie she made?

But yeah... I'm there with you.

Fucking incest. I used feel sort of blasé about it so long as it didn't involve children, or in general the exploitation of anyone whose mind was not fully developed (age 24–28, depending on which experts you read).

But this place is really beginning to make me hate it.
