I'm new here and have managed to figure out a lot of the dynamics without the need of starting new threads to answer my questions. However, this I would like clarified. I assumed by sheep, Madam Pandora in particular, you meant that we have a kind of herdish mentality, like feel good topics, and that in general you feel that we don't add anything to the board. I am aware of the negative connotations the term has but up until today I have been content to be one of the herd. That's the sheep in me I guess. But WTF is this:

That pissed me off. So to all of the sheep haters out there what do you mean by sheep?

I personally find it very irritating, how quick some people are to judge, how much hatred there is here, and the lack of respect that is shown, on both sides of any given matter.

1.Sure, there are a lot of ignorant people in the world, and what's worse is that those idiots really like to come on the web and spout off the first, errogant and rather thoughtless spew, with no concern for the consequences, assuming there are none, because it is the Internet. Right? Well. So?

A. Yes, It is annoying and get's old, monotonous and unstilmulating to scan through the same ole' shit all of the time.

B. It really hurts to be condemned for wanting to fit in, for having the need to feel loved and accepted.

C. And those who condemn are just poor teachers; most likely still students themselves or extreamly frustrated and at wits end.

D.Those who are not the shining stars they could be, are either too hurt in life by that which has come down on them; they can's get the shackles off, or they are just those shitty fucks that will never not be a shitty fuck (adressed later)




2.I have met some sheep (literal) in my life who didn't want to remain corraled or fenced, but considering the lack of opposable thumbs, well and fingers for that matter, they can't quite climb over the barbed wire. Hell, even with hands, your bound to get a bit cut up.

You know that there are more of those sheep than content sheep....just look into their eyes...the nerves...the confusion...the fear.....the knowing of the inevitable, and the lack of fullfillment in their souls (To the arrogant shit over there who thinks animals don't feel emotion- Yes, it is quite fucking common for animals to experiance pain, loss, dejection, and the list goes on and on....you can crawl outta that cave now.) What I am getting at with all of this, is that, some people come here to escape the fencing that daily life provides us (ex., work, school, family, etc.) and that just because they are not theorizing about the dynamics of cold fusion, doesn't mean they are dumb or have a herd mentality, just herd actions. Some people come here to enhance their creative, intellectual and emotional abilities, and to share in deep, meaningfull friendships and relationships. And a few come to be evil...

Shitty fuckers issue adress: I have seen Kidrock1 (the biggest dipshit on the internet) be glorified by the mere acknowledgement that he is here, and going by his number of reads, seems to be quite popular, and well, enjoyed. I find him useless. What is the big fucking deal? I can understand morbid curiosity, but the feeding in to his shit, is just as fucking usless as he is.


What exactly is wrong with a herd life if is is mutually benificial? Nothing. It is when those within the herd loose sight of the herds best interest. MP, Deb, and KM (sheep bashers, I am sure there are others..Sorry to single you out...but I am not partial either way..so whatever.) Are really looking out for the best intrest of the herd while being unabled to maintain a warm feeling for the group.
They are here, by choice, so they too are sheep in this flock, but they are the disconent sheep, the ones who need to be strong but are fighting a loosing battle.....

This is where I and those who can be mediators should be given the respect we deserve.... DCL is gone because of this cyclic bullshit, and He is needed here more than most of you shits realize....Some of you just want him here because he is a Lit personality, or is a mysterious man, or that you can idolize him, while never really listening to what the man says, just wanting him here to play with, so you feel intellectual too. Some of you want him here because he profoundly stimulates your intellect, and he validates you, and gives you a sence of self purpose.
Others care more about the fact that he needed to get away for his sake, and want what is best for him....

The only feelings on this matter that are even closely moral, is the last option.

Yet, we soooo need him here. What to do, What to do...

I am about to go to my states capital city, this afternoon, and see a show, by a band I admire greatly. A band who acctually plays their OWN instruments, who acctually write their OWN music, and who take on the conventional way of thinking in America (the "just ignore it and it'll go away" mentality, through their music. No, the aren't dressed in all black, screaming about social injustice, or about the fucked up government or SHEEP! We (in that I mean the subculture of people that I call family) are some of the brightest, well adjusted, and openarmed, patient people that exit in this country. I will be there, at the show tonight, and there will be a lot of people like me. We all dress a certian way, have similar intrests, possibly even lifestyles, and yes, could very easily be classified as a bunch of fucking sheep. And even have been, by onlookers....
You know, those people who are so fucking busy, and fullfilled in life, and exceptional, and fun, and caring, oh and did I say fullfilled, in life that they are better than others. Sure we are sheep, to maladjusted, jaded sorts, who can't see the flaw in themselves for the wind on their faces.
Are those onlookers really the sheep, or is it really us, or neither, or all? Very profound question...

So, Tabby, YOU are not a sheep that is evil, or useless dear...... You are one of the sheepeople who could be misjudged because you come here to play. Cept you also share quotes, poems and the ups and downs of life with your friends.

In the Case of MP's rant...she was refering to sheep as those who defend trolls by insulting Deb, because she cares about the injustice of trolling, for the sake of those who slander her. While she did spew about the annoyances she experiances from constant indulgence in half witted play, she was mainly pointing out the hypocracy of the whole response that R gave... Joking or not, he didn't see that Deb is suffering because no one is taking her seriously, but for KM and MP (outright) which then is in turn judged by many as cliquish, and just 'those bitches getting outta hand'. Or something to that effect.

I guess neutrality is fucking boring but, why are so many, so quick, to jump at the throat of others.

An example of opening yourself up to criticism would be to post a picture of yourself when you have issues with your appearance. Someone moron is going to be asinine about it. Cheyenne posted a picture of herself and mistakenly thinks she's less than perfectly shaped. WoodyViagra took it upon himself to troll the everlasting hell out of her.

A sheep would have bleated and went crying to the den mother, and we would hear protestations of "I'm leaving forever!!!!!!" Never mind that the sheep made friends on the board or that the troll is lower than pond scum. Grow a spine, don't be a sheep.

I don't know what MP is referring to as a sheep, I just know what I'm referring to. It gets old to constantly defend a crying sheep against trolls because they lack the backbone to do it themselves.

I generally don't use the word sheep because I generally ignore people I consider sheep. I use the word groupie and most of them have moved off with their leaders, Nightlight and Ambro to shiny happy poster land. I'm sure they don't care if I like them or not, and I really don't care if they like me.

They are actually a rather easy to get along with group and you'll recognize most of them. Just be happy when you post. Hmmm... not quite sure if that concluded with me being a sheep or not. I think not.

Just for clarification on Woody, because I haven't explained on the board before now: I don't know if he ever even saw my pic. He started to email me from having seen my posts (I think)and kept asking me questions, to which I referenced answers already posted on the "How to" board. At one point, I pulled together just about every thread there ever was related to oral sex and posted them as links in one post on the "How to" board for him. My mistake was (and is) that I try to be nice and polite to anyone who emails me. Even the ones who just say "Nice tit- got any more pics?" People who actually write in full sentences and full paragraphs get quicker and better responses though, of course. And Woody was initially very polite and wrote well, although a little stiffly. He asked a LOT of questions, but I took that as him being inexperienced, as he told me he was. Nothing wrong with that, either, that's why we have the "How to" board.

Somewhere along the way not more than a week or so after he emailed me the first time, he irritated me with a post to my Wolves thread that was snide (I thought) and with one too many questions in email. At the time, I also had a crisis I was dealing with in my personal life (which I have not posted to the board about.) I let Woody have it in an email that even I consider was rude on my part, with hindsight. He had started to talk about his "statistics" and I answered him with a general comment of "I'm over 160 and fat" in an attempt to discourage him from being interested or emailing me again. Obviously, that approach didn't work. I apologized for the rude email to him, but told him I really wasn't interested in still "being friends" with him after his initial attack in the Wolves thread. I already knew what he really thought of me at that point and wasn't willing to overlook it. THAT email really did it, and the resultant posts from him on the Wolves thread are now part of Lit history. He didn't lie about anything I said on that thread. But it was taken out of context and twisted when I refused to continue emails with him. I chose not to clarify at that point in the Wolves thread, as it wouldn't have made things any better. He was already so far over the edge threatening law suits and showing up on Laurel's front lawn. Instead, I tried to take the high road and let him rant about me.

And now you know the rest of the story. Does that make me a sheep? A drama queen? I don't know. And I don't care, one way or the other.
