Writing Project-New writers needed.

I've got a writing project going and I'm in need of about 4-5 writers.

Pick a Fairy or folk tale. Write it however you want with any kind of twist or change. Make it erotic but R rated.

Proofreaders, Second sets of eyes and Editors are already on board to review it.

The goal? To compile these into a short story compilation and publish it, either shop to a "real" publisher and make bank, self publish, make it into an E-book or submit it to other websites.

Why? For the fun of it.

Will we get rich and famous? No, well maybe but probably not so dont' quit your day job or complain to me when you're still poor 6 months from now.

Here's the deal. This is mainly for new writers, or writers that want to improve thier writing or writers that just like an odd little challenge.

It's open to anyone, and yes I know things like this have been done before with varying degrees of success and failure but let's do it anyway.

If you're interested PM me or reply in this thread. If you're not interested put me on ignore and don't respond to this thread.

There are 6 writers currently involved in the project including myself. (so maybe that counts as 5 and a half? lol)

Let me say again. If you are a brand new writer or only have a story or two under your belt, you are the most welcome! Don't get me wrong though, we won't turn away any "top" authors either.

Parameters:

*Any fairy tale may be picked, regardless of whether or not others are familiar with it.

*You may choose to write your tale in the classic fashion, using the original characters and story and just adding your own touches.
You may choose to write your tale in the modern fashion like Ella Enchanted or Pretty Woman (for Cinderella).
You may choose to write your tale in a satirical fashion (please pm me for examples of this.)



*Your story may have romance or sex in it, but please refrain from using porn in your story. You may rewrite your story in order to submit to Literotica.

At this time, no deadlines have been set. If you encounter problems coming up with ideas or in the writing of your story, please feel free to contact any of the other writers or myself.

Editing will be provided for your story. If you have another editor you wish to use, please feel free and let us know.

Again this should be mainstream but that doesn't mean sexless it just means not crude.

you aren't the only one to bring up that problem, just write it and we'll talk it over w/ you after it's done.....that way you will get a say in how or even if it's changed...how's that?

Curious to know what stories everyone is planning on using. That wiki list is daunting, especially with how few I recognize. A couple sparked ideas, though...the Sorcerer's Apprentice in particular.

as other people come in and speak on old threads that haven't been used in a while, it pushes your thread to the bottom (or another page).

so, you come in and speak on the thread to *bump* it up to the top of the page again so people will see it.

most people don't look to the second page or further for a thread, so if it falls, it can die

As I'm brainstorming my take on Sorcerer's Apprentice, it occurred to me that the only three characters in the original (or Disney take, for that matter) are an old man, a young man, and a broom. Hrmm... I suppose around here that could be considered a plus, though it isn't quite where I was intending to go with it.

Three Little Pigs was another I had considered until I saw it was claimed. Can't wait to see some of the other takes on these tales.

If you need feedback, why don't you pm each other? This would be a great way to meet other people and see how they are handling their stories as well. No story is handled wrong, I've just seen how several of you are writing so far, and I've been very impressed.

Worried that you might bother someone? Go ahead and post in the thread and ask if someone wants to take a look-see. I bet you get tons of takers.
