Writing-or other-goals for 2024

What are your writing goals for the upcoming year? You can also list non writing goals if you choose to.
I want to get the first Aces series done and dusted (hopefully before the end of the year, maybe to post right after New Years). Then work on the follow up series, tentatively titled Aces2: Birth of the Clans that explores the wider world and the havoc the virus wreaks, the "Great Unwinding" as it has come to be called in-story. I've been toying with the idea of making that a mainstream sci-fi novel. It could actually work without the graphic sex scenes, but it would still be pretty racy at minumum. Either way, if it goes up here, it's going to be a bit of a hard sell, because it will be even more focused on story over sex, though fundamentally, the entire premise of it has to do with sex.

I also have a regular very not erotic mainstream novel working that my wife keeps nagging me to finish. I've got well over 100K words done, but no ending yet. Obviously, it will have to be edited down, but that 's how I write, put in everything I can think of, then toss out the stuff that doesn't work later.

And I have a full-time and then some job to work all that in around.

Doh... I have more than enough To Do lists IRL.

My singular writing goal for 2024 will be to continue to write orgasmically organically and see where I end up.

Oh, and to write better generally and diversify a bit; write some stuff outside my comfort zone.

Fuck! That's two goals already... or is it three?

I had rather ambitious goals for 2023 and achieved none of them. Working too many hours. I'm scaling back my goals for 2024. I just want to finish the three stories that are 90% complete. Anything beyond that is gravy.

My writing goals always have an asterisk attached to them, which signifies "subject to change, procrastination, ennui, and total abandonment, and likely to draw a snarky and justifiably skeptical guffaw from ElectricBlue66."
Good man!

Carry on ;)

In my times of doubt, I can always count on you to make me doubt more!
It's a job! But please, don't make it easy - I can # backwards, if you like, as you roll 're out.

This is why I never set writing goals, and get a nice surprise when I achieve them.

Except that @Omenainen Pink Orchid thing. I must get something finished for that, and now I have more time!
