Reading/Writing erotica makes me...

I am wondering if writing erotica arouses you.

Any form of erotica qualifies you for this poll. Whether you have written love letters or SRP or are published and non published authors, you are all invited to respond.

Never written erotica, not even love notes. My poems never really do anything for me.
Reading erotica, however, it it's really good will make me very horny. I'm just glad the mouse only requires the use of one of my hands!:D

Good question

Personally, most of the times, writing erotica doesn't typically arouse me. Well, it arouses feelings and thoughts and emotions and such, but many times, writing alone doesn't sexually arouse me. But it does put me in the mindset to be sexually aroused. I find myself more receptive of the sensuality around and in me when I have been writing.

Reading, on the other hand, arouses me quite often, depending on how it is written. One of my favorite activities is reading erotica to my lover.

It's only arousing if it's good.

I feel this way about erotica I haven't written. But I have had people tell me some of my stuff is very good, but when I read back over it, it doesn't arouse me. <shrug> Maybe because I am too "close" to it, or something.

The question comes from an experience I had today.

I was writing something that was completely unrelated to my real life. (Erotica based on real life puts me in the mood.)

I was very surprised to find that I was aroused.

And no, it wasn't even good erotica!

Reading good erotica will make things happen and it is great fun to read it to a lover.

For me, after writing, then proof reading, then discussing or editing and then maybe more changes, it becomes a chore. (Not in the negative sense) It just becomes a task that needs completion.

So, my own doesn't arouse me once finished and doesn't seem very good at all. Hence, NO submissions from Miss T!
