Writing Breaks For Play

I know this might sound weird or arrogant, I don't know, but have any of you ever had to stop writing your story because it was turning you on so much you had to cum before continuing.

Someone mentioned it as a problem on this board a few weeks ago, and a number of people with the same problem (mostly but not exclusively men, as I recall) shared strategies for coping. Scroll through a few pages and you'll find it.

As for me, not so much. Maybe it's my age.

Ahh you're right I should have read on and found it. Thanks!

No...er...Yes...er...Sometimes.

Yes I get turned on, but no I don't stop, not anymore. I use it to write more.

Then again...sometimes I need to take a break, but not to pleasure myself.

Really just take a break from it all...writing...etc.

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel. If it's making me this horny, hopefully it will make whoever reads it just as horny.

If I can't arouse myself, how can I arouse others?

(What arouses others may not arouse me. I'm an incest author, not reader / fetishist.)

I personally have never had to stop writing to play, but I have had stories get me excited. Although part of the reason I haven't had to stop is because I tend to write in 'chunks' rather than write the whole thing at one time so... Who knows. But I think that getting excited by your own stuff is good. Like other's have said, if you don't find it exciting do you really expect others to?

So interesting to hear everyone's different takes on turning people on. It's a strange thing we do! LOL!

I write about what turns me on, in a way that turns me on. It's little like one sided roleplay.

:cattail:

This happens to me pretty frequently, too. I usually just either deal with it or accept that my writing for the day is over.

Oh my god, it's literally the worst. I mean on one hand I guess it's natural; I've had to stop writing horror scenes until morning because I was too bugged out, or stop writing depressing scenes because I had too many tears to see what I was typing. Sex is just another chemical/emotion, so it all works the same. Sadly though, I find I have much better ideas when I'm in the state where I most want to disengage from the story.

Why yes, yes I have.

Actually my first attempt at this post was a simple "Yes", but the error message came up telling me that I had to have at least five characters. So here are mine: Klink, Fraulein Hilda, Fraulein Helga, Major Hochstetter, General Burkhalter.

Let me edit this to say I try not to. I do my best work when I have not, uh, become 'relaxed' recently.

Even Worse…

Some Stories turn me on that much, that i cant even START before cumming.
Just jerking off wildly, imagining the things that going to happen in the Story. Its not that great really xD

I take the break before I give in. Which has occasionally made for some intense evenings...

Ohhhhh, yes. Happens a lot.

Unfortunately, after my "break," I usually can't get back into the zone to write anything erotic, so that's usually it for the day. I have to get back to a "mildly aroused" state to make the words start to flow again, which usually means the next day after a little bit of porn surfing.

You're Surprised?

It wouldn't be very good if your story didnt cause you to cream your jeans

If your writing doesn't doesn't drive you to masturbation, why should it excite anyone else?

Ditto with tear-jerkers -- if you don't cry because tragedy, nobody else will, either.

Writing that leaves its author numb will likely do the same to audiences.

You know, I'd thought of that about other kinds of writing, but it hadn't occurred to me to apply this rubric to erotica, but it's true: If there's nothing in it that's turning you on enough to cum, then it's unlikely to do the same for other people as well. Thanks!
