Hi,

I am working on a couple of stories that include texting dialog. Since they are texts, I am also trying to include emoji's since many people incorporate them into their texts. My challenge is...how to show that so readers can easily understand my intent? Currently, I am doing the following:

Brandon: I would like to see you again. (horny emoji)
Emily: I don't know. Last time, you don't show me the (eggplant emoji)
Brandon: here's a pic
Emily: (spurt emoji)
Emily: see you in an hour!

What do you think? Is there a better way to show this? I haven't seen many stories here that include texting conversations.

Thanks! (smiling emoji) lol!

There is a long list of unicode emojis. Browsers should display them. I don't know about the Lit mobile app. Start the sequence with "&#" followed by the code and end it with ";". If you use the hexadecimal code, then "😁" gives a smiley face. The "x" is needed to indicate a hexadecimal value.

I tried it in the text preview and it worked. I didn't succeed using it in this post.

I don't know about .doc or .rtf files, but if you submit your story as plain text (i.e. paste into the form), then you can just include emoji (and any other Unicode character) directly in the text.

Emoji's (🍆🔥) are first-class citizens in Unicode, which is what Literotica uses. There have been threads about text dialog before in this forum. Personally I think my own style is one of the best, check out how it looks here: https://www.literotica.com/s/findom-challenge-ch-01?page=2

Tip for Windows users: Hitting Windows-Key + . (period) brings up an emoji chooser from pretty much anywhere (like in your word processor, or when you're typing in a textbox on the web)

Thanks for the replies and the information. I had tried seaching the posts here, but didn't find what I was looking for. (must not have searched the right words). I appreciate the help! :)
