Writers Wanted!

Look guys, you can flag the post for Etoile's consideration if you think it violates terms.
I'm not the only mod here you know, KC gets those "report" emails too :)

I gathered what set most off was there is a specific forum rule about promoting other sites via Literotica (unless they want to pay advertising fees), which by coming here and asking for people from the forum to offer their writing to the OP to use on their site, is doing just that, albeit in a round about way.

6. Any post or PM made with the intent of promoting another site or a product will be removed. Spam is strictly forbidden. You may not send unsolicited PM's or emails to other users trying to promote other websites or products. Literotica is not a place to promote other websites, and we are very strict on this issue. If you abuse this policy, you will be banned. If you persist, your ISP will be contacted.

In my time as moderator, such threads were removed or at least referred to the site to check. Lit has built up their site over time, and it is a bit rude for others to then take the lazy road by trying to poach Lit writers to use for content on their site. I could be worng of course, but I am assuming they do not want Lit writers because they are so bad and will not attract an audience to their new site.
I'm not sure what you're saying in the red part, Cat. I did get your report on the thread, but I had a busy day yesterday and didn't get to it until now. Surely you had busy days during your time as mod too?

But yeah, I noticed that the OP doesn't include her website in the post, she only asks for people to PM her. So I don't see that she's promoting another site or product in any way. She's soliciting writers, but that's not promoting her site. If she came on here and said "HEY Y'ALL I have a great findom/kinky story/cheese fetish site, come see!" then I would see how Rule #6 applied to her. But in this case I don't see any "free advertising" going on because nothing is being advertised - I don't have the faintest clue what the OP's site is.

So yeah, it's sleazy to post here looking for writers (jeez, at least use AH where the writers are), but it's not against the rules because there is no promotion (aka free advertising) going on for any other site.

Catalina is saying that in her day, she made that judgment-- not quite correctly by my standards, but I"m not a moderator here so my standards are moot :) It isn't her day any longer, and she's left the moderator's job behind. Now, it's your standards that apply.

out of curiosity, what's the normal pay rate? Say 200 words article
It varies, she said evasively...

Pay rates can be a fraction of a penny per word, which sounds horrible until you count up the words. For something like this which contributes so directly to someone's lucrative income, I would want a hefty fraction. Of course, the words i wrote would have to be effective ones...

When I did non-erotica freelance work, I was paid $25 per piece [of writing]; average length being 750-1500 words.

My standards are the same as they have been since 2003, back when MissTaken was moderator here. I guess maybe I learned from her. At any rate, I prefer to err on the side of leniency rather than taking down anything and everything that even approaches the idea of being against the rules. And again, the OP of this thread does not violate Lit rules, because no site is advertised. I would find anyone taking this thread away to be cause for concern, unless it was done by Laurel, who can do whatever she likes!

I have a couple of those... but I would want more for writing porn. (don't know if I'd get it, but I'd want it)

So why don't you move the thread to AH? You don't want her to start a new one, do you?

You have failed to act in the appropriate obsequious manner in the presence of Etoile (blessed be her name).

Pray, humbly, a moment of your time, may this worm suggest, would you consider, perhaps

Take your favourite four and try again.

Someone who is bragging about a $1,000.00+ per day income from useless financial submissives should (IMO) be willing to pay top dollar for well written content - fictional or otherwise.

I bet she isn't used to "paying" ;)

I wish I had some "useless" slaves that buy me a BMW.

Fuck the BMW, im all about mixing foot dust with cocaine and then shitting on my own face in a public library.

HOLD ON, NOT MY FETISH.

Not mine either ;)

But I will watch you eat shit (vomits) for a BMW :)

I will add, your OWN shit (not mine), and I will watch it only from a webcam far away safely from my home. In return I get a BMW. Fair deal, huh?

All examples I've seen of financial domination seem as confidence tricks, abusive and taking advantage of the vulnerable. My SO contends it is their right to spend the money as they wish.

It is repulsive to me (and I dictate all morality), since if someone I knew was spending hundreds or thousands on prissy miss mindfuck behind a computer somewhere... I would want to get them help in a way unlike other fetishes.

Then it was countered that their FETISH was to waste money and be treated terribly and maybe get arrested or fined for scrubbing poos on your face in a com lab.

So, a fetish for shame or poor decisions. THAT I can agree on.

Disagree. Initially, when I first saw it, I (just like you) felt sorry for these men, but then I figured out the mystery. These men like to be taken advantage of. That in itself is their fetish. They go out and *look* for women who will do this to them. If PMeg wasn't here, he would be a buying a BMW for someone else. How can you save him from himself? You can't. No one tricked him. There is no "confidence" tricks. They get exactly what they are looking for.

Yeah, we decided it was a shame or poor decision fetish. It's outside of my understanding.

That, and other related flavors are: "Loser," "humiliation," "used," "being taken advantage of" (by a female), "blackmailed." And making a woman happy, in this case by spending all money. Online commercial femdom is a combination/flavor of all these.

But aren't we all "buying a BMW for someone else"? We willfully submit our work to a website in which we share no financial gain.

Are we being taken advantage of, or are we simply indulging what we enjoy?

Where does one draw the line?

When you seriously do harm to yourself? If you are a millionaire, then 60K BMW is nothing. But I have seen some men who work minimum wage ($7 an hour) and send most of it away to the "dommes".

Or drink it, or feed cats with it, or buy the newest and latest gadgets, or a BMW for themselves that they can't afford to keep up.

Millionaires almost never buy beemers for other people. They are millionaires because the money itself is what's important...

That's a good line to draw, although I would take the "seriously" out of it.

Speaking of these men who give all their money to femdoms. Where, umm...where exactly do they live?

And why are there so few femsubs who have a financial humiliation fetish? I need a few of those to make the payments and cover maintenance, upkeep and crew salaries for my new yacht!

Seems like women don't spend money on sex.

Weird, huh?
