Writer's Block

Dammit, I've had it for three days now. I put in my writing time, peck and pick at the keyboard, but I wish this block would go away. Then I go play Civ III and wipe out some other civilization, then I feel better.

Just watch, one day, when I don't have a lot of writing time, I'll get on a roll.

I don't get writer's block. I used to call it boredom but haven't been bored in decades.

I have a little of it right now. I'm stuck on a transition and can't get moving again. Things usually are at one extreme or the other for me. Either things are just flowing too fast for my fingers/pen to keep up or I draw total blanks.

Now today I wrote for three hours straight like a bat out of hell. I couldn't type fast enough. But finally stopped to prevent burnout, and even better, to wrestle with the munchkin and the dogs.

For year now, I could never actually sit down and write anything other than poetry. My brain would just go... blank. Now a days, I have to merely think of a story idea and I have to write.

I dont mind having that dam broken, but I wish it would give me a break every now and again, hehehe.
