Okay here's the problem:

I know we've talked about setting the mood before. Your writing atmosphere. And for the most part I do set a mood in my room when I go to write. Sort of helps things flow. But I'm having problems feeling the mood this go around. It's been the past couple days, the music I have just isn't cutting it. What I need is some really good "fuck me now" music. So any advice? Any songs you know that might fit this?

I kinda like "Freak Like Me" by the Sugababes and "Being Nobody" by Liberty X. I've written stories to them before.

Not a big fan of this artist, but download "Oh My God" by Pink. She all but says "fuck me now" in that song.

Is it erotic inspiration you're after, or a good background hum for writing?

For the former, I'd recommend Esthero's Wikkid Little Girls album. It's sex on a disc.

For the genreal "work music", I've always been a fan of more or less instrumental stuff, or I'll start paying attention to the lyrics too much. Classic, new age, chillout... Check out the Cafe Del Mar compilations for some good, relaxing vibes that lets you focus on the writing at hand.

Thanks guys I'm looking them up.

Liar: For every scene I write I use different music. I have to have a certian mood in the air for me to beable to discribe it, if you know what I mean. I listen to a lot of clasical for most of what I write, and a lot of Phantom of the Opera, but for particular spot I'm at, I sort of need that raw lustful feeling.

Any more faves out there?

Tweet's "Oops, Oh My" falls under the category of do-me-right-here music. I know EL's very fond of Black Velvet by Alannah Myles.

Can't think of any more. Don't normally tailor my music to the occasion.

Thanks sweetie

I'm very intune to the emotion behind music at times, so when I want to be put into a certain mood, to write and such then I'm very selective. And then there's just certain song I won't listen to with people around. Closer by NIN being the bigest culprit, (noting like getting that "oh please fuck me now, fuck me hard" look with your mom sitting in the seat next to you as you're driving down the high way  ) When I really get stuck is when I pull out the mood music.

As much as I love the OLD Bjork, Earl, nothing cuts it like Nelly Furtado's "Partys Just begun" or Missy Elliot's ... Damn what is that song, sorry, the CD was burned by a friend THE THEIF ... its, hm, damned SEXY ... Listening now AND its Soo sexy ... "Keep it movin'"? I think thats the chorus. Anyhow, it has a pump and an action tHAT just makes you want to ... well ... fuck :catroar:

Maybe it's just because I'm a musician, but I can't write at all with music playing. I quit writing and focus on the music. I need as close to dead silence as possible.

I listen to my launchCAST radio station that plays all progressive rock and metal, with a splash of weird al yankovic. But I guess music is not a factor for me. I like to listen to the radio though because if a TV is running then I end up looking at it too much.
