how bout pump its own. Texas and Alaska are filled with oil. we could very easily support ourselves for an extended period of time.

Thats my contention all along. Its them Saudi Arabs responsible. Don't drag the whole lot of people in.
A colleague of mine, a distinguised professor here, visited the Saudi Palace a few years ago. What wastes!. He described the royal family of around 3,000 members as being the richest in the world. The King's Palace was huge! Bigger than the twin towers. The whole place was perfumed 24 hours a day with some kind of sandalwood ("Ood" the most expensive perfume). All the water taps and bathroom fixtures were made of gold. Outside the palace, there was a mountain made entirely of red marble, which costs about the price of the whole of New York, and the marble, the finest in the world, was not mined until today, and left as it is as "reserves".
Every newlyweds in the kingdom is given a large house as a present fom the government and the citizens don't need to pay taxes.
They can afford to conpensate the loss of the twin towers and every relative of those who got killed.

We could do something I guess. But it would take a unified effort. Otherwise I'll look pretty damn stupid protesting by myself. I'm not opposed to doing something about this, not at all. I'm just not very good at protest thingies like that and I would need some type of assisitance.
