Wow! Is everyone on vacation?

Wow! Usually when I submit a story it gets marked for, "pending," but it starts getting read by the judges right away. I submitted 4 stories last Sunday and, so far, they haven't even been looked at yet.
I wonder what's going on?

I think what's going on is your misunderstanding. I don't think the editor looks at the stories until right before she posts them (so days after submission, unless it's a contest submission). Those "view" numbers you usually see mounting are just a computer program glitch.

I always thought, as the count went up on pending stories, it was getting closer to being published.
I believe you're correct as those counts are not real. I see my three part story has been arranged in order and the, "pending," sign has gone from blue to black. I'm assuming that means they are getting close to publishing.
Thank you for clearing that up for me.
I thought, with the halloween contest going on, they did not have time to look at new work for awhile.
I learn something new every day! (Now if I could just learn to write)
