I delurked, err, three days ago? Was it four? Time flies when you're having.. something, anyway.

So.. 3 days of posting.

Coming up to 50 posts.

And already you lot here in AH have re-instilled the damn writing bug in me. And made me think. Intelligent thoughts, no less. Goddamn.

Not only that, you've re-awakened the submission bug too. I might even post something soon, even though I don't have any erotica to speak of. Although, speaking of that (since I brought the subject up, I better say something about it), how 'expected' is it for one to post erotica on lit - I mean.. I know it's literotica for fuck's sake, it's expected that you post at least some... But .. err .. how expected?

Raph, in a rare moment of indecision and self-consciousness.

p.s. Ah yes, the other reason for this post - I wanted to thank you all for revitalizing my flagging writer's block, and whilst I feel kinda selfish about starting an entire new thread to say that, I kinda wanted it to not get lost amongst the other threads.

Err.

So..

Thanks :)

In regard to the first part, you're welcome. As for the second, I guess it proves the age of miracles hasn't passed. :)

To each is own. You probably need to take that issue up with some of the ladies.

Varies depending on the category. There is a "Non-Erotic" category, and "Romance" is tame in comparison to categoreis such as, "Group Sex" or "Non-Consent". If you post a story with little if any gruntin' and groanin' in one of those, expect your story to get hammered in the feedback and to score very low.

Har, not that sort of submission *grins*

However, right now, everything I have would happily slot into Non-Erotic.

And I'm not hugely worried about score, per se - Although I am sorely tempted to know what YOU all would think of my scribbles. Lot of very intelligent people here with a lot of writing experience.

Dear Geog,
I believe I can speak for the vast majority on here when I say we don't particularly give a damn.
Helpfully,

Dear Geog,

That never fails to put a smile on my face, MG..

Of course, we'll see if it still has that same effect 6 months from now when you're still calling me Geog..... *grins*

p.s. 50 posts! Halfway to an AV! Go me!

Raphy,

I meant to also suggest this to the Ice-man but you're getting it first. In the Story Discussion Circle, KillerMuffin has set up a "Workshop" thread. You have to "volunteer" your not-yet-posted-in-Lit story on a special thread.

The idea is people can have their WIP's looked over in a slightly less formal atmosphere than what happens when people are critiquing stories that have already been posted. That's done under a different heading called, "Discussion".

Check out the SDC and if you have any questions, send KillerMuffin a PM. She'll usually get back to folks pretty quickly.

Ooh, I feel like a true newbie!

I'll check it out! Thanks!

Rumply, just to clarify: submissives do not have to be the opposite gender to their dominants.

submissively, Perdita ;)

What'll they think of next?

Erotica on an erotic site?

Well actually I don't think that most people on the boards post stories on literotica at all. Of course, obviously, the Author's Hangout has a good deal of authors for the site, as well as the editors forum and the "story feedback" forum.

I don't expect anyone here to write erotica. I mean, at first I thought everyone did, and I didn't feel good enough to post on Lit at all until I'd submitted one or two of my own, but now I don't assume that anyone has written anything.
