What do you think of this position?

- Write four short stories (min. 1000 words) per month. The stories can be about pretty much anything with the exception of nonconsensual or incest stories, but should appeal to a large audience.

- The pay begins at $100/month, but every time another person signs up for your story feed, you get more money for the same amount of work.

- You don't have to do any sales, site maintenance, customer service. Just write the stories.

- If you sign up, you have to commit for one year, as they want a consistent writing style.

Would you do it? Pay seems skimpy at essentially $20/story, but other pay-per-story sites I've seen are only offering $30 and this seems like it has the potential to go much higher.

Cranking out a story a week seems intimidating!

Any advice?

I'd have taken down my web page link before embarking in this fishing expedition; though fair dues, you are actually offering payment instead of 'ripping off' the stories. I'm seriously interested in your business model for your website. If you want to divulge, PM me.

ETA: Nice looking site.

I now work as a writer...more or less..~lol~ I laugh because I do a few other things for the company as well, but I am the staff writer. Having a deadline gets you out of some lazy habits which can prevent good writing and makes you more conscious of what you're creating. That being said it becomes something you have to do, but if you love the topic like I do it isn't a major hardship.

As to the rate you mentioned when I worked for my employer briefly as a freelancer before being hired I was told $15 an article was my rate. I could submitt as many as I wanted though. I am told that it is the industry standard for posting on the net so your rate it pretty good.

Also I would be interested. PM me

Fishing...not so much, but I am curious.

You are right - I do write for the site in my signature, and these, roughly are my working terms should I choose to accept them for the next year.

I posted mainly to see if this is a "good deal" as far as erotica goes. If I am being paid decently, if others think this is a workable plan.

And no, I'd never "rip off" stories! :)

What rights do they want? Exclusive? Electronic only? For how long? Can you have the work removed from the site after those rights expire?

Can the work be serialized? IOW, can it be chapters in what will ultimately give you a couple novels?

I'd do it IF I could leverage those words for future sale/contract elsewhere the site's terms expired.

Imp raises good points. $25.00 (not $20 as you said) each is not a bad amount, especially if you can get by with such short wordage. I have sole one-time publishing rights to many of my stories for less.

Do they require new stories or would it be acceptable to allow them to publish stories that have already been posted here? The latter is acceptable to MVP,

I am interested too!

Please send me the information. I will have my attorney do a once oer for the terms and send the info back here :)

Sure, I'd do it. I'd do a 1000-word story a day.

If you're a writer, you write. That's what you do. Otherwise you're a dilettante.
