During a conversation, when someone’s telling you a story or giving you info of some kind, what do you want to hear? Would you rather have all the details all at once or the hi-lights of the important stuff? What do you do yourself when you tell a story?
I’m a hi-lights person for the most part on both ends unless it’s something that I’m really into. But usually I could care less about the trivial little details and would be happier with the summary. It’s not that I don’t care about what people are saying, it’s just that I don’t need to know what they were thinking about while they were vacuuming When I want details I’ll ask for them.
