I just saw on our local news that there are 5 companies in the U.S who will, for a fee, kidnap you.

You decide how it is played out, for the most part. But, I don't think you know it all, because it wouldn't be a kidnapping, if you did. Kind of strange, but interesting.

Anybody know more about this? Your thoughts? One things that was not included...no sex! Too bad!

Wasn't there is movie with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn that had the same theme?

It seems to me it is the type of thing that someone with too much money and not enough brains would do.

Of course I am voicing my opinion and YMMV.

Sickos! :D

It's definately an odd one. Up there with rape fantasies?

I'm dreading the day a submissive asks me to carry out a rape or other violent fantasy. Think it's gonna be a big "NOOOO".

To pay to be kidnapped means you are not really being kidnapped. For subs that have rape fantasies or abduction wishes it might be a way to play them out in a safe environment. The problem however is of course is it safe, how much can you trust someone who you are paying money to?

Also if there is no sex it will only fulfill part of the desires of the subs that have these fantasies. I think it is a much better idea to find a BDSM partner that is willing to fulfill your fantasies making sure of course that you make the appropriate safety restrictions and that you have informed enough people of what you are planning and with whom. Just to mention a couple of safety tips.

Yes, Ebony, the movie was called 'The Game'. Micheal Douglas was given this card for his birthday, by his brother, played by Sean Penn.

It was quite a good movie, if you ask me. It wasn't so much about kidnapping, but more about identity theft, and such. It was for the very rich who had everything and what do you get them for a present?

This guy was even set up to be killed, in this game, by the woman he met in his search for the company's office. It is difficult to explain in this sort of format.

It wasn't so much a kidnap situation, but it was something like this kidnap situation would in the fact only the filthy rich would be doing this. After all, they have done it all, seen it all, and lived life to the fullest, so this is then the next level.

God only knows what this would cost, so it probably wouldn't even be in the ballpark for us normal folks. Just think of the insurance that would be necessary for these companies. They would have to transfer these costs on to the kidnappie.

I agree it is crazy, but you know there are crazy people out there who have the money to spend (even in this economy) and will keep these companies going for a while, at least.

This is a no sex deal, and it seems like mostly for the vanilla crowd. They showed a few scenarios, and one gal was being roughly taken to the floor, and her hands were being bound behind her back. So, I can see the fun in that, if you are a submissive with money, I guess.

Another scenario had someone bound and blindfolded, and in some sort of box, and in a hole. I assumed it was to fake being buried alive? I am just guessing on that.

I also agree that any setup situation is not the same as the real thing. But, maybe there is something arranged where they wait for a long period of time so you forget you paid for it. Still, I don't see how you get the complete feeling.

And, maybe that is part of the fun...not wanting the complete deal where you are beaten senseless, maybe you lose a tooth or two, dragged around by your hair, beaten again, threatened with your life, dragged some more, and...well, you get the picture. A neat and tiddy thing it usually isn't.
It is a supply and demand thing. You don't want to disapoint the paying customer, so if you have the demand, you supply the product. You can all surely see the advantage to this, if you are rich, if you are wanting that special and unusual gift for an eclectic friend, and if you are both a bit crazy...OK, a LOT crazy.

And they say we BDSMers are weird! At least we would include sex!

I seem to remember recently reading (News of the Weird, maybe?) of a woman who was found wandering along the street naked and was picked up by the police. She wasn't willing to say much, but it finally came out that her boyfriend was supposed to come along and pretend to pick her up as a hitchhiker!

A vanilla thrill seeker? I gather from the "was supposed to" part, that he is probably now the ex-boyfriend? Then again, maybe that story was fake, and she gets off on exhibitionism to men in uniform. I'm sure they didn't mind, either.

I would have picked her up.

You want to be careful with this little scenario. We "kidnapped" a friend in highschool to take him out for his birthday and ended up having to explain it to the police, almost landed in jail.

Why pay, when I'm willing to kidnap you for free?!?

That Johnny, so helpful and kind and sweet..:D

Actually, one of them puts out videos of their kidnappings and attempts to sell them as bdsm flicks. The video chairperson rented two of them for video night at the club. It was pretty bad! Cheesy script, fake male fisting. It became a running joke among the community out here.
