A service that you call them up, they go and record a TV show for you, then sell you the tape (copyright fees included) so you can play it in your own VCR?

How do you feel today Spinhon?

Me I found it a good idea. There is some poeple who like to collect whole tv show and sometime they forget to tape it so they could use that service.

I haven't gone insane today. That's realllly good.

This whole thread is basically for groupwork I'm doing at school. This is my groups idea. I absolutely hate it. So... I may have to sabotage it.

Do they offer to remove all commercials, broadcast interruptions, superimposed logos and weather alerts? Do they offer full-screen credits without promotional voice-overs? Do they guarantee full reception without ghosts, snow, or cross-talk? Does the tape include closed-captioning, SAP, timecode, stereo sound?

Nah, still wouldn't pay for it.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of all that garbage.

Hell, I have 4 VCRs and a DVD, I can record 4 programs at once!:) Ive never had the desire to though.

Yeah, at the meeting I had to restrain myself a bit. Otherwise I'd havesaid that if three things were on TV that were worth watching,I would shit myself.

Jesus Christ.

So I went over to Rob Malda's page and there was a story about TiVo being dead.

The result? The articlewas published by Microsoft publication slate and was pushing the X-Box 2 which will have DVR (TiVo) capabilities

also the recommendation "If you watch more than 1 hr of TV a week, get a TiVo it will change your life).

Then I saw the TiVo fees - 4.99/Month.

4.99 won't even cover the cost of the tape. let alone the insane copyright charges.

God I hate groupwork. IDIOTS!

I'd pay for it. But my situation is not common. Every TV show I see is a season old. I hate moving back to the States. I miss an entire season of everything. So, yeah, I'd pay for it, and be thankful that it exists.
