Had kids of course

My kids finished school at lunch time today. Yes I played with them, but no they would not then give me 10 minutes peace... no such thing as Mummies time out as such.

Then the father rings 3pm to say he's doing over time !!!!!

I think I had one 20 minute break all afternoon between the cat scraps.

GGrrrrrrrrrrr... Now at 7.25pm I'm trying to get through the shower and homework time without killing them !!!

This cig break is not working !!!!!!!!!!

Ok, now I've ranted I feel SLIGTLY better.....

Anyone want to come and take over for the next couple of hours please :D

I am awake with my 11 month old. I have to be up in 4 hours to take the man to work.

Still, I would do it all over again. She's incredible. It's like a whole new person every day. I love her.<sigh>

I would be glad to help out, T.H.! I am getting better and better at this babysitting stuff. LOL! But no, I don't think that I will have any of my own. You deserve a medal! Of course, being a Mom is a reward all its own! :rose:

I knew.

I entered parenthood with my eyes wide open.

And would do it over and over again, if I could.

:D

Of course, there are days and there are DaYZ! Eeks!

Well, they are showered, homework done and in bed...... they may start looking like angels again in about 35 minutes....... when they are asleep :)

I saw another mother at school today when getting my kids. She is about to have her 5th kid any day now!!! She is only 30 years old. Now that's what I call punishment :D

I'm the middle child of 5 girls... mom was a single mother of four at 28 (the same age i am now)... remarried and had the 5th at 32. I'm not *quite* that crazy. 3 will do me just fine.

Sorry Hon, each to their own :)

I'm not the most maternal person I suppose. I would have been happy to have no children. I knew my SO wanted some so I said one, he wanted three, so we compromised at two......

I do love them, just sometimes I..... I don't know what???????

I didn't want kids until I found out I was pregnant. Then I held that lil pissed off bundle of baby and thought "WOW, this is pretty damn cool!"

I'm not in any kind of hurry to add another lil monster to the mix, and I totally get the not knowing what to do sometimes. But, that's why I never ever run low on chamomile tea. They're oh so cute when they're comatose!

you guys have nothing on me..

come friday.. I'll have 8 here.. yes.. 8..

all ours.. Ask me how I am on Sunday night ;)

I could have done with them in that state for a couple of hours this afternoon, lol

I think I'm just to creative and always got things in my head that need to be drawn or written down.... call me selfish or what ever, just seems not to be enough hours in the day to get 'my' things done..........

*Ha, the SO just walks in the house right this moment when they are finally comatose  *

P.S. At least he brought me chocolate :D I need it right now :)

Trust me............children grow up all too fast............

Here I am, 50 years old and I have a daughter and son in law that are both resident physicians, I have a 26 year old son who has a good job and is an incredible father to my 4 year old grandson. It seems like you hardly have time to blink and they are grown and gone...........Treasure every minute with them.......you don't get "overs".

Grandchildren are the best invention! It is so fun to spoil him then give him back...........it's my job..........;)

I know you are right, but if I hear those words one more time I'll scream, lol :rose:

I didn't know get into things with my eyes open, I had blinders on the whole way...
My son was born just after I turned nineteen, and he's almost two years old now...
But, would I do anything different if I had it to do over again?
Hell no. I only see my son every two weeks, but I wouldn't give up that time with the little monster for anything in the world.

If I had the choice I wouldn't change it. I lost 2 kids before having my 3 so I know how precious they are. Yes I have days when I need ME time and I think thats only reasonable to want that. The only thing I might have changed was waiting a little longer before starting and had babies that knew how to sleep....lol.

Yes they are precious. It took us four long years to conceive our first one and I lost two along the way.....

I'm cooling down now, just needed to vent before :)

I raised 3 girls with my first wife and
became father again with 47 due to a little
"accident".
My little son left yesterday for a 3 day
schooltour and I miss him already.

Good luck!

I went into parenthood with my eyes wide shut.

But

My daughter provides me with the single bright spot in my life and looking forward to doing things with her from homework to trips out makes me a happy rabbit.

The only thing I would change about having kids is the fact that I had them so young.

17 is not a good time to be having kids. Trust me on this. :(

I am a better mother now,but the first few years were rough. And now that I am alone,I want to scream, rant, rave, and pull my hair out over my 3 chitlins.

But then they go to sleep and you see their cute faces and its all worth it. ;)
