Worldbuilding and plot erotica

Do you think that in good erotica, worldbuilding, characters and plot are just as important (if not more) than sex/fetish scenes?

I think so, because even the story with nice sex or fetish scenes, but with low-quality story wouldn't be rememberable and I'd forget it. Stories with a good worldbuilding and story, however, allow me to continue fantasizing about the fictional world, which enhances the pleasure of reading such stories. That's why I mostly read sci-fi/fantasy stories.

Writing a plausible scenario that leads to a hot sex scene goes hand in hand.

This reminds me of a pm someone sent me awhile back. He asked for my opinion and constructive criticism about a story he was writing. What he sent was a five paragraph sex scene set in a hotel room. Without knowing the journey and motivations that led to the hotel romp, I was not emotionally invested in the two characters, which in turn I was not sexually aroused by the sex scene at all.
