I'm still rooting for Germany. :D
So am I :D

If Lehmann screws up this Penalty shooting, he'll be dead in my book. Dead, I tell you.

If he does well, I'll give him another chance. Maybe.

Germany 1 - Argentina 1 Germany wins 4-2 on penalty kicks!

Goals:
Agentina---------------------------Germany
2. AYALA Roberto (49')-------------11. KLOSE Miroslav (80')

Dancing around the house right now :D Sooooo happy.

Finally Lehmann did something right ;)

Holy crap ... that was one of the most intense thrillers of a game I have ever seen. I was at a bar. The place was packed ... and it went completely nuts when Klose evened the score and when we won it afterwards.

I am pretty sure now, we'll win the world cup. There is no doubt about it ...

Italy 3 - Ukraine 0 Final!

Goals:
Italy
19. ZAMBROTTA Gianluca (6')
9. TONI Luca (59')
9. TONI Luca (69')

I don't mean to throw cold water on some of the predictions, but has anyone considered an Italy - Brazil final?

Can't really see Italy getting past Germany. Tonight's score flattered them against the worst side in the last 8. Tomorrows matches are too close to call (if France have truly woken up).

Actually I did ... in my office we have a game going. We threw money in the pot and picked the games. As a bonus we picked how far Germany would go in the tournament, the winner and second place ... those bonus picks were made before the tournament and couldn't be changed. I picked Germany to bow out in the Semis, and Italy winning it all over Brazil ... could still happen.

But I doubt it now with the way our boys have been playing. We'll win it ...

The way your certainties have been going, this doesn't bode well for Germany. :D

Ah .. you're meaning my prediction for the Holland - Portugal match? Well ... the Dutch played better and had some real good chances, but in the end Portugal was lucky enough to pull through.

I didn't make any prediction about tonights game here ... but I was sure all the way, that we would beat Argentina. And I am equally sure, now that we've beaten them (which already was a finals game) no one can stop us and we will win it all.

A couple of days i heard something that summarises how we in Portugal feel about this match pretty well.

No one holds a grudge like us. And we have a 40-year-old grudge at stake, dating back to 1966, when England literally stole a World Cup that rightfully belonged to us. And yes, it's true that we have won every official match against England ever since - WC86, EC2000, EC2004 - but that's not nearly enough retribution. We want more!

Anyway, I hope it's a good match, and may the best team in red win. :D
