Can anyone tell me how to shift my sig down a few lines?

Have tried leaving a few blank lines in the editing box but it just ignores them.

An apology.

Just realised I hadn't said please.

Dreadfully sorry for my poor manners. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you,

Ok I got my avatar set up now but am still having problems with this signature.

Any chance anyone can help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I haven't even tried to do a sig line yet, not sure if I will either.

Hey that nana line isn't the line I gave you.

It was suggested that I change the line to love rather than hate as I had several women saying how much they love the nana. Also as i got given this avatar the line matches it better like this.

Have you tried using the HTML code...
<br>
to force a Line break in your sig?

Do forgive me, if you have aLready tried this!

No I hadn't

The HTML code was actually what I was looking for (guess I should have mentioned that huh?).

Cheers will give it a go.

Good luck...its a damn shame that you can't use html code within the reply.

Well we could ask our fellow Lits whether anyone has incorporated any fancy java script or php language into their sigs or replies?

:)

Nope, as I'm sure you noticed, you can't even enter the word java-script if it's properly spelled -- **********

Also, if you check the site announcements forum, you'll find that in the "near future" HTML will be disabled in signatures as it is in posts for security reasons.

I've got a new addition to my sig in the form of a picture but can't see how to sort out displaying it. I can't hotlink it from the person who made it for me so need an alternative plan.

Any ideas folks?

You'll need to find somplace to host it that allows hotlinking.

While HTML still works, you can use an attachment as the IMG SRC, but when you have to convert to using only vB code that option will go away. Villagephotos has been suggested as a good site for hosting hotlinkable images, but I've never used it so I can't vouche for it.

When I used to code extensively, we used photobucket for hosting images. It gives you your own little photoalbum and you can even link pictures from the web in it or from your own computer. Once you upload into the album, it will just give you a linkable url, so you can still use the basic linking things on here. Although I have to say, I rather like using HTML in my sig, it went faster for me than trying to figure out VB... as for Java script and what not...that's my next project to learn. Hope this helps. :)
