OK, so we've had the Favourite Words thread here

Now, what about words you hate?

Not neccesarily in writting but generally too.

Do they sound gross, do they connote something unappealing?

what are words you love to hate and why?

~~~~
'Moist'
<--- just sounds so slimy and slug like *shudders*
an old friend of mine hated the word 'hierarchy' which no one could justify, and we tried really hard not to laugh at.
so go on, share!
:rose:
I hate the word "bitch" cuz my mother used to call me that from the time I was a small child until, shortly before her death. I rarely use the word for that reason.
That's rough, Misty. No wonder it bothers you.
Words I hate: The first two that popped into my mind were: cunt & nigger.
Rumple Foreskin :cool:
'stupid,' because I just don't like it.
I'm with you there. That's the most hurtful thing anyone can say to me, since I'm very very self-coscious about my intelligence. Years of being told you're "stupid" and "pathetic" will do that to you.
Anything-'wise'. Ugh!
Also 'think outside the box'.
Oh wait, that's a phrase.
I hate it anyway. ;)
I'm right with you on "moist", especially as an adjective describing the female anatomy. ;)
When you're talking about devil's food cake, though- then I welcome it.
Damn....Don't read my 100 words then.... :D
Dang it, it was on the tip of my tongue...Utilize! That's the one. I hate that word and never, ever use it.
Yep, every time someone says that word to me, all I want to do is reaching out and ripping off his trachea.
I prefer 'dewy' when describing feminine anatomy in the situations I usually describe it in. It sounds more wholesome. ;)
The word character always makes me a little mad, only because I frequently misspell it. If the first "K" sound is made by a "ch", then the second "K" sound shouldn't only be made by a "c".
Just breaks one of my personal, inside my head only rules.
And if used as an epithet, cocksucker.
