Wood carving or sculpture ?

A friend sent me a mail with some pictures of the most amazing things made out of wood. I decided to look up the craftsman's web site, and was amazed to see what he had made.

His name is Livio De Marchi, and he's incredible.

He's an amazing guy. He had an installation in London last year, a shop - I think it was a tailors - made entirely from wood. I saw some of his work in MoMA in New York, which I guess makes him an artist rather than a craftsman :D The SO thinks he's an artist and I'm not about to argue with her.

I just saw the bigger stuff on the 'large works' link.

Absolutely amazing.
