Women, what does this mean?

I hope this doesn't come off as sounding ignorant because that is not my intention but when women put their collar up when wearing a shirt, is that some sort of indication that they are lesbians?

I have seen a few women do it and was obviously too shy to ask about it so I thought my fellow Literoticans could help me out.

Yeah I had never heard of that before but I figured that it could mean something. I guess they might just think it looks cool!

Are their actually any signs that lesbians show to let others know they are actually lesbians? (that way it would be easier to approach them!) I'm a newbie obviously.

I do still check for jewelry... pride or intertwined women.... car stickers seem to be around more and more... even in small towns. Not universal, but can be helpful at times....

You know teens wear collars up all the time, but its mostly the boys and its supposed to be preppy/pimp guy. I dunno, i've never seen girls do it. And the whole thumb ring thing...uuh aren't these just fashions and if they are signals what about people who see it and think its cool then all of a sudden everyone is a lesbian? And why do you need to know before approaching someone? Are we treating them different now? or are you just shy to ask another woman out? You should get to know them before hand anyway so i dont see why this is even needed.

Never heard of the collar up thing. I also look for rainbow jewelry and bumper stickers, things like that. My gaydar has good days and bad days but those are usually helpful hints.

Damn! I was in the sexual revolution then before I was even sexual! I remember wearing those bigger shirts, belted, with the collars flipped up, and putting so darn much hairspray in my hair it shoulda been illegal! And I was only 12!

I wasn't necessarily saying that I needed to know if a woman was a lesbian to approach her. My question was mostly out of curiosity but yes, I must say that I am shy about it. Reason being, I've never been with a woman and I'm not sure how to present myself so I get all tongue tied and look like an idiot!
