Women in Time: Chain Story

Alrighty folks here ya go.....

We have a female back in history... the first chapter is about her... whatever the genre... the next chapter is a female in her line... granddaughter... or something like that... with the next genre... the next chapter follows the last... farther into the history of the females of that family with yet again another genre... etc... etc...

So... how about it

As some have pushed the original idea up again I thought to post to the boards about it.

NOTES: due to the idea behind this each of us would have to be very specific about the women that we are doing... I would ask that each person that wished to be involved post to this thread and then when the order is sorted out we can assigned the order of them.... that way the first person could write about one woman... and then writer number two would know that they have to pick someone in that woman's lineage.... I hope that makes sense.

Example:

Elizabetht picks the first story... she picks Mary Stewart the wife of a Viking.
Dampy has the second story... so she picks Ezra Jacobs, the niece of Mary Stewart from one of Mary's sisters
Selena has the third story and she picks Melinda Jones, the daughter of Mary Stewart...

and so on and so forth...

Each of those decades are so unique to each other... I think that it would also require the least amount of history research to do

I think this is a wonderful idea. Very ambitious. I don't have any time to help out, so I can't help with the writing. But I'll be there as a reader.

I love the idea of it being by decades more or less. I always enjoyed the Kent Family Chronicles that used this technique to tell the story of American history.

Lizzy, you probably need to get some kind of protocol for letting the person who is next know the MC of the preceeding story. Otherwise, we'll all be dependant on the post time of the story before ours to get ours going since we need the linkage from period to period.

As soon as the list if filled out I will send all those involved a PM... I will post who I have selected, then the next person sends back a PM to me with theirs.... in turn everyone sends who they want back to me... and in the end I will send out a PM with who each person plans on doing

I always wanted to be a part of the Cabaret Voltaire, and adore dadaism, which could all make for a kinky story and since I didn't live it, then I may as well live vicariously through a character.

1920's -- women's suffrage, prohibition, the Jazz age and flappers!! Someone's gotta wanna write that one

and 1930's - well ok a little less fun... start of the Great Depression... dust bowl... but everyone was escaping into the movies... maybe a story about an actress???...
