Women are confusing

Alright. I'm a sophmore in college and this past summer I had gotten out of a rather long term relationship that had ended quite badly. Well at the beginning of this year I met a girl in band (our school's symphonic and pep band) who I really click with. We like the same music (punk, metal, jazz, country), we get along, and we almost think the same. I mean for one night we walked 10 miles together from midnight to 3am just talking and it was amazing. Problem is though she has a boyfriend.

Now just when you would say "out of bounds" here is where things get interesting. Starting roughly a month ago we started "wrestling" with each other in a rather unorthodox fashion in my dorm and friends of ours dorms. She will tickle me (I'm really ticklish) and will grab her and she likes to bite me after this, and this can go on for hours on end(most ppl say this is sexual frustration). Also she likes spending an obscene amount of time with me, including all of my band's practices, and going with me just about anywhere. Now at this point you would think she is just looking for a best friend. Well how many best friends do you cuddle with for 3 hours just laying there for 4 nights straight. Especially considering one of the past nights it almost turned into something more. Now her boyfriend is still in highschool and it turns out they have broken up before once this year. He is the athlete type and after meeting him a lil more than a month ago, a total moron.

The other night I told her how she felt and she said that she does like me alot but she is dedicated to her boyfriend. Now I thought this conversation would alter our behavior towards one another (the wrestling and such), but just last night we went at that for 2 hours.

Am I wasting my time waiting for her to break up with him? I have no idea where to go from here.

Just be her friend. If her boyfriend really is a moron like you say, she'll figure it out in no time. And when they do break up, she's gonna need someone to lean on. (Don't take advantage of her at this point, just be there for her.) Once she's over him and gotten him out of her system, then make a move.

It sounds like she does want to break up with her boyfriend or she wouldn't be 'wrestling' with you and cuddling. She probably just feels loyalty to him and doesn't want to hurt him.

Just give it some time, be her friend, and be there for her when it's all said and done.

Bah, it's too early for spelling!

Forget it , he might be a moron , but he's HER moron! The wrestling strikes me as two kids messing around - if she wants sex you'll KNOW! Are you a virgin ? No problems if you are , but go find a girl without baggage and life will be a LOT easier.

Good luck and just enjoy yourself ! ;)

You said that he is athletic, it could also be that he has threatened her with harm to herself or her loved ones if she breaks up with him again. Does he strike you as the violent type? If so that might be your answer as to why she doesn't want to break up with him, She is afraid of him.

1. No i'm not a virgin by any means and I'm far from the introverted nerdy type.
2. I understand he is her moron
3. I doubt he has threatened her with harm.
4. I forgot to add the fact that she is from another state and he is still there and she dosnt travel to see him often.
