Well, society does frown on 2 men having sex with each other and I really don't need the heartache. . I don't openly proclaim that I'm bi, but a few people do know. If asked, I won't lie about it, but depending on the situation, I'll go around it with people I don't know and trust.

Rarely have I been asked if I'm bi. I've been asked if I'm gay and my usual response is along the lines of "I like women too much for that".

True, men tend to be closeted about their "gay side." Gender fluidity reflects a lack of masculinity to many people , even with people that say they are accepting of different lifestyles. Many people also see a lack of "stability" in gender-fluid men. We tend to want everything and frankly, everybidy neatly labled. Women seem to be more comfortable with saying they are "exploring" or "experimenting." Modern feminism encourages women to take control over their lives, and being more open about their sexuality can be part of that new assertiveness.

This is all so true. I'm married and bi..wife knows and agreed for me to play around with a guy once (she wasn't there) though shed not hip with me doing anything now. Anyway, only a few of my oldest friends know I'm bi (other than the guys I've played with lol) mostly females and a couple guys.

The problem is, I'm very masculine in almost every way and knowing a guy is bi does change how most people look at him and think of him, even if they are "accepting" of it. L

Luckily, one long time bi female friend does understand this and I can talk to her when I need to. It shouldn't be so difficult. I get urges to be with a man now and then..I like the closeness of it and I like making guys hard, etc. It doesn't have to reflect on the rest of my personality at all!
