Was chatting with a female friend of mine tonight, and she decided (at 3AM) that she wanted to buy an island of her very own. We kicked around various ideas to raise money for one, and she mentioned in passing that she'd be willing to make her own porn and sell herself to raise the money she needed.

I think it'd be better if it was a private island.
A woman deciding to prostitute herself for a new radiator or roof is sad and desperate. Poverty-based prostitution is just a sort of coercion.
A woman who is comfortably fixed materially deciding to prostitute herself so she can be obscenely rich and have her own private island is different.
It could be that it is sad and desperate too, but it's her choice rather than her circumstance.
