Hi there is a story I want to write, I have the premise but I don't quite know how to develop it. So I was hoping for your help.
Basically it's about a young woman, fresh out of college, who is dating her childhood friend who she loves madly. He loves her too, however, she thinks she is not pretty enough for a handsome young man like him, she notices how other more beautiful women are flirting with him and are after him. Her boyfriend has eyes for no one else but her.
The protagonist, in recent months has developed an inferiority complex, and also a fetish of wanting her boyfriend to reciprocate those women she considers ‘better than her’, she wants to see him go out and have sex with those women, but without abandoning her.
She doesn't know what is happening to her so she tells her friend, who is a psychologist. With the help of her friend, they try to fulfil the protagonist's desire to see her boyfriend with other women (including her own friend).

My question is, how could the boyfriend be convinced to agree to such a thing?
The idea of the series is for it to be a happy story, where he loves his girlfriend and never stops doing so, but sleeps with other women to satisfy the protagonist's desires (and obviously he also gets pleasure from doing so).

I think the problem mostly lies with the woman. The man's reasons can be easy. He wants to satisfy his girlfriend. It might take a bit of convincing, but in the end he will do anything asked.

If you still want to focus on the man, try spin it with him uncertain. After lots of talks he can certainly still be uncertain. However, he decides to check out the field and see her reaction. First some flirting. She's still okay with it? Maybe go a bit further. Then kissing. Some touching. It can be different encounters each. GF still seems happy, encouraging him? Well okay. His body certainly signals it is a good idea, so he'll try going further.

You can spin this clinically as well. Maybe the psychologist friend secretly has a crush on him, or maybe knows a friend all to happy to help. In a private setting they try it out, observing the reactions and how they feel.

Tricky. It might have to be navigated carefully due to women's jealousy which can flare up any time.

Men's can as well, yes, and it's a little more predictable and can be assuaged. Probably not women's.
