With a guy like Dubya in office, who needs Yogi?

Dubya said that the "ticket counters and planes will be flying again"

Thanks, Thumper. It looks like we have the first President in history who can compete with Yogi Berra's malapropisms. In addition to being one of baseball's all-time greats, Yogi has a
way with the English language that can best be described as "unique."

A few Yogisms:

"Nobody goes to that restaraunt anymore. It's too busy."

"You can observe a lot by watching."

Someone asked Yogi what the time was. He replied, "Now?"

"I really didn't say everything I said."

...and my favorite: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

What are some gems you expect Dubya to come up with in the future? God help us.

"America will win this war when the enemy is defeated."

dubya

Probably too much inbreeding. He only needs to be smart enought to read what he's told to read and say what he's told to say.

And do what daddy tells him to do.

let's face facts, people. despite our president having a higher IQ than a good number of previous persidents, he has two major drawbacks:

1) he's right brained (the speech centers of the brain are in the left half, btw)

2) he lacks a good deal of common sense

thank whatever for Colin Powel!!

Hey, I like that quote. Yeah it seems obvious, but there are a lot of times that the people that are observing are too busy doing other things to really watch what's going on.

Language isn't totally located in the left side of the brain. Particularly in women and some men, the lateralization of language isn't complete. I'm curious as to why you consider the President right brained. It's not something you can judge without a good deal of knowledge and testing for valid, reliable results.

Common sense is many different things to many different people. What you consider common sense, I may consider a complete lack of thinking skills and problem solving.

It's amazing how so many people can now determine your brain functioning based on limited experiences and how many times I've heard, "Common sense isn't common anymore." It must be a gene mutation in politicians that makes these statements always true.

Spend a little time in Chicago listening to Richie Daley and Shrub will start to sound like Winston Churchill...

I would have guessed inbreeding was your major malfunction.

That, or cross-species breeding.

lmao...oh my

(sheesh, cracking up again...thanks, problem child...hehehehe)

why do i think he's right-brained? b/c he acts like me when talking unscripted. he fumbles with words like he knows what he wants to say, yet the right words just don't appear, so he substitutes other words in a stutter-like fassion. he's tested out with an above average intelligence, yet when he talks, he comes across as rather stupid. believe me, i'm fairly certain he's right brained, b/c *i'm* right brained and sometimes it's quite easy to pick it out in other people.

it's too damn hard to explain b/c i'm right brained and the fucking words i'd just love to use don't want to come out!!!!

and a correction to my post above: the major speach centers of the brain are in the left half. if damaged, the right half will fully develope the speach centers it has, or sometimes they've developed more than average, but those are fairly rare cases.
sorry 'bout that, but i've got an excuse! *points to signature*
:p
