I wonder how many people believe that the prophets and wisemen of legend were never foolish or always serious. I think if we were to reach back in time to grab one, maybe buddha, we would find that he *isn't* always the level-headed, centered, quite guy that we all think he is.

Why do I think this? If they weren't a rash and irrational mess at one point or another in their lives, they would have never come to the conclusions and realizations which they ended up teaching. Humanbeings are creatures of habit, so it's unlikely that someone, even after enlightenment, would be totally void of their past habits even if they were mistakes.

I also don't think I could respect a teacher who was perfectly wise. World teachers should be human to a fault, which means they have faults.

Jesus even took a day off from being wise; anyone who can keep their composure and speak optimistically while slowly dieing of suffication wouldn't be human enough to understand the human condition.

Very true Birdy!

So what are you doint when you take a wisdom day off?

When I take mine I like to just shut myself down, relax and think of nothing!

Wisdom & I had a talk we’ve decided to not see each other for the next 10 years or so.

I would guess that if you met one of those individuals in person you would think they were much more than just wise. Especially in their early days of becoming "enlightened". A person like that would not seem "normal" at all. Normal equates to fitting into society. These people questioned everything - did not fit in. If anything they were probably perceived as quite odd, never mind wise. They were rebels and I'm sure they were filled with self-doubt on many occasions.
